30th September 2006

I feel super tired now.

Heh, school started with art lesson. I got 76 for my butterfly!! =P Briefing on art exam, I don't exactly feel like finding chilli and lady's finger to draw. Blehs

Science was revision, maths was another mock test, literature was on act 4 scene 3 in macbeth? Chinese oral was torture. =\ I think English extra lesson was the only fun lesson lar, at least we could laugh. =)

Stayed back after school for about...30mins. I actually sweeped the floor ok? But I ended up sweaty and dirty, =S Left Yun Kai alone with Woei Jiun and Chuan Hui. ;) Saw Chee Hock at the canteen talking to 2unity girls about his next target. Lol, but he decided to follow me to the bus stop.

Guitar practise was fun, used acoustic instead of electric though. But hey, Acoustic's still better than Classical right? The strings were steel instead of my nylon strings, so my fingers were like going to have cuts on them any moment.

Learned how to pluck More Than Words and God of Wonders. Heh, I was playing Wake me up when September Ends and Guan You said:"Noooo September Ending!!!"

Met up with Bryan and his bb friends for dinner. Weird, almost all of Bryan's friends are from bb, and are sec 3s, but they all dislike fabian. Haha.

Sermon was interesting, something about blessing others the moment they make you angry? It's ironically the best way to insult someone. Imagine if you call this person short and that person says:"Thank you, I really appreciate that." Heehee, like, your enemies would be showcased as childish fools who just love to insult others.

It's hard to forgive people right now.

Was still at Church at 10:45...Guan You had a pretzel!!So I started thinking of ways to get it from him. I tried telling him that pretzels were high in fats and you could choke, that insects were found to be in pretzels and there was a risk of heart attack from them. Blarhs, doesn't work lar...Then Guan You took my butterfly and went around telling others it was his freedom butterfly. =S

Gasp, Ben's job in NS is a counselling assistant?!?! No marching, no drills, no parade, no campcraft. Just taking a bus to work at 9 and sitting at a desk. But that's cause he has some complicated knee problem. I should go get a complicated knee problem too! Then I can skip obs if I want like Sandy next year. =)

Walked through bishan park, I had a camera, but I didn't exactly feel like taking pictures. Especially since Bryan pointed out that the reflection looked like a person, and Bishan park was really really scary at night. I think the pictures I took had an adverse effect on me. I found my self looking behind much more often, and I noticed a lot more people strolling through the park?

Went to caltex to buy 2 cans of coffee. I was at the same spot almost exactly one week ago, walked the same path, drank the same type of coffee. Bus came super late, around 11.10pm. PAST THE CURFEW!!GASP. Saw Jacky and Wee Liang at a bus stop? Can't remember their names lar, all ex npcc one. Worst of all, I was in school uniform. Haha, bet they were shocked to see someone in school uniform. I get weird stares from people whenever I take 136 on a friday. =S

Blehs, I think I signed up for too many things already, I forgot about Npcc trainings and NRC for a moment when I signed up for that Advanced Elective Module on 3d animation? I never touched Cinema 4d before, and the course is intermediate? But then again, I never went for a course on html/css/javascript. Nor did I go for flash 5 basic or fontpage basic. =S

ERG, and there's fellowship meeting oct 14th, outing with phalanxinvicta sometime November, youth week sometime in December, my Birthday on October 17th, and my Birthday on October 17th.(repeated on purpose.)

I think I seriously need that portable 100gb hard drive. More and more stuff winding it's way into my computer for strange reasons. Alvin says 160gb would be better. Heehee, I think I'll get a $200 portable hard drive for my birthday then, although a $70 acoustic guitar....*sighs*

Anyways, thanks to googleKeane for helping me find best i ever had by vertical horizon and a whole bunch of other songs. Weirdly enough, now I'm looking for Savage Garden songs. Anyone have to the moon and back? Maybe I'll go the lazy cheapo method and record the song off radioblog, cause Sembawang and Mj don't even have savage garden cds anymore. Blehs.

Confirmed by Microsoft, to be released for xbox 360 only.

Top 10 things I do on my Computer.

10. Study lessons at e-learning.
9. Organise/Change/Redesign my computer interface.
8. Design graphics.
7. Code html/javascript/css.
6. Search for guitar chords.
5. Work.
4. Surf the net for weird interesting sites.
3. Read blogs.
2. Blog.
1. Msn.

Eeks, I should definitely reprioritize huh? Like, I should be working or practising coding instead of surfing for interesting sites or reading blogs... =S Blehs, maybe I could edit my hosts file to redirect every single site i visit back to 127.0.0.1. (Geek stuff. Link.) =/

I experimented with putting the first line of the song If your gone into my personal message last night. It was something like:"Think I already lost you". Then I waited for everyone to start guessing who I "lost"... *disclaimer* I didn't lose anyone, it was just for fun. =P

Today was fun, in a way. I think question 12 in our geography paper was wrong lar!! The question was something like, how can Earth support life? Then the "correct" answer was because the atmosphere can trap heat?? Should it be because plants can grow? Blarh, the teacher said I should go see Mrs Goh, but then Mrs Goh was like: "You must choose the best answer, the correct answer", then retreating back into the staffroom before I could argue that without plants, we wouldn't survive at all.

Went to Hans to eat with Alvin, Si Peng, Kenny, Yun Kai and Chee Hock. Hahas, Sandy suddenly said she wanted her paopao cha so I went to treat her lar. So now we're even. =P

Stayed back for Literature extra lesson. The unseen prose was super hard to do, with this super chim question that asked us to describe how the writer was preparing us or something? I felt strangely "literical" so I wrote a page long answer....if only I could feel "literical" during exams...(I'm usually moody. =S)

Then Yun kai felt sleepy and wanted to stay in class to sleep? Haha, I suspect it's cause Woei Jiun and Chuan Hui were staying in class ;) he found the literature lesson boring, but I didn't find it boring for some strange weird unexplainable reason. Reached home at around 6, now I'm trying to get some work done whilst blogging and hearing music and asking Keane for songs....multi-tasking. =P

I'm hooked onto coffee now...blarhs, coffee's quite useful to keep you awake lar..maybe I should try taking a nap in the afternoon like Sandy. No wonder she can stay up so late....

Don't visit Germany!! It's infested with giant radioactive bugs!!(Google Proof)
Hehs.

27th September 2006

Miss Chew was telling us about how our class got mentioned at a teacher's meeting. Ironic that our class is probably the one with the most fights, yet we are the one that impressed Mrs Wong during the Geography presentation. Yep, we'd make great actors.

I'm positively negative today.

I think I'm addicted to drinking....coffee. Blehs, quite nice lar, and it's said that coffee helps prevent alzheimer's or parkinson's. Although I don't think I'm likely to contract alzheimer's or parkinson's anytime soon... =)

Hahas, I think msn convos are weird.

Like me and Kenny were discussing important stuff.

Then Bibiana and me were competing on who can spam the best. Then I flooded her with the weird shaking face thingy. I WIN!! =P

Blehs Nvm, I'm messing around with fileswap now. Sort of like the parent of sketchswap. This time you exchange files, and I got a whole bunch of weird funky images free from copyright. (I exchaged a whole bunch of spongebob pictures.)

26th September 2006

Bleh. Today was horrible. Ok so maybe it's not that bad.

Started with 3 periods of Chinese. What an excellent way to start off one's day. It's wasn't that bad really, cause we had Chinese oral and my turn is a few days away...being last in class comes with advantages. =P

Then was home econs. I think the practical test went quite well. Although Miss Tan said my dish lacked presentation, I think it tasted quite ok lar.

Science after that was held in computer lab. Last science lesson in computer lab for us to go study the lessons provided in the e learning portal. But I still think the e learning portal was designed by some guy who got rich by coming up with cheap graphics and flashy animations to wow schools and make them pay large amounts of cash. I think my primary school's rice is much better. Elearning doesn't even bother to declare a doctype, and recommends internet explorer 6. =S

Someone stole $70 from Sandy? Kinda reminded me of when I lost my phone last year, blehs, never saw it again...

Anyways, Sandy was super super angry after that. GASP, never saw her so angry before. Even Kenny and Yun Kai were scared lar.

I'm running out of space on my computer. 614mb left of free space. Probably because I have 20+ programs which I absolutely cannot live without. Like Nero or Openoffice or Olympus Master. 100gb external hard drive for my birthday present?

25th September 2006

Today started with Science in Ava room. My marks were reduced....Blehs. Science is quite ok, u get to seat next to ppl u want to seat next to.

Pe after that was cancelled. =( But in the end Mr Choo gave in and allowed us to go play. By then, I had changed out of pe and was lazy to change back. =) But then the boys wanted me to go play basketball, and I did agree beforehand I would play on chee hock's team. Sorry Woei Jiun and Keane. =
Kenny got scolded by Mr Ang after that. Super scary lar...but I think that many of our classmates lie to our parents? It's just that Kenny's mother is stricter.

English again. Yay, haha, Keane and Bibi keep telling me: "See? Now you know how important one mark can make."

Maths was a mock test, which i did horribly. I was super angry at Chee Hock for some reason. Most likely cause he was harping on Xiao Ming and Sasa. ||| But I cooled off in the end and decided not to post his picture. Haish...

Haha, Yun Kai challenged me to a duel on runescape today. But in the end, he lost to me in every single match. Pic for proof:=P
Also hit my highest max hit so far...
Looks like a background for a forum sig....

Rushing to do home econs now. =S Ehs, I completely forgot about home econs lah....

An Hour's Break From Studying=

Haha, I finally figured out how to port custom brushes into Gimp. Yar, I use General Image Manipulation Program. I'd love to use photoshop, but I'm not rich and I don't exactly like using pirated/stolen software. Photoshop is just a google search away...

Tried out most of the brushes to see if they work. Maybe I'll improve on it, if I feel graphicky.

I'm hooked onto If Your Gone by Matchbox 20. The video's meaningful, (Link.) The guy must be super daring to stand on the edge of the building lar. Haha, thanks Darren for sending it to me. =) Maybe I'll try learning how to pluck it on guitar. Try.

Haha, I still can't seem to stop hunting for songs. I was asking around for Angels Brought Me Here a few months ago. Now I'm searching for Best I Ever Had by Vertical Horizon. Yar, it's a super old song so everyone I've asked don't have it. =S Ah wells, I can always go radioblog and stream it.

Ehs, I'm trying this weird website where users vote on a website's design. (Link.) Haha, that's cool right? You get to see a list of the hottest and ugliest sites on the net. Like this. I wonder what I'd do if I was under the top ten ugliest site designs too. Ehs, I think I'd stop being lazy immediately and start coding a site with background graphics.

Haha, I found another weird site where you sketch an image, and you swap it for someone else's image.(Link.) Fun.

I seem to be surfing a lot today. =P

23rd September 2006(19.57pm)

I think I'm at least 60kg today.

Couldn't sleep at all last night this morning. It wasn't until I decided to do 100crunches and time myself that I could finally sleep.

Yes, I did do 100 crunches, took around 6mins+...

Kinda regretted doing 100crunches so fast without warm ups or cool downs though, cause I woke up at 6.20am today with stomach cramps. Don't ask me why I woke up at 6.20, maybe it's cause I wake up at 6 every school day?

Forced myself out of bed. Cause the number one reason I oversleep is because I jump right back in bed when I wake up. =/ I felt super tired lar, decided to buy 6 cans of nestle latte, hees I felt super thirsty and drank all 6 cans waiting for the rest to come.

Kenny overslept. -.-

I wanted to sleep on the bus 27 there, but the 6cans of coffee kept me awake, even though my body was tired. Kind of hard to explain...

Went to Swensens to eat again. AGAIN. Hahas, this time we ate the lunch sets. Wanted to eat chicken baked rice but changed my mind when Woei Jiun and Chuan Hui copied me. HMPH. Blehs, Darren ended up giving half of his steak to me cause it was sour. SOUR. And we also ordered two fries, and this giant earthquake.

Blehs, I was super full after that lah, having drunk 6cans of coffee, 2 cups of water, half a ribeye steak, fish baked rice, ice cream, and lots and lots of fries.

Went to the viewing mall again to study after that. AGAIN. Couldn't exactly concentrate. =) Ended up re-reading a whole bunch of newspaper articles. I can't think of anything else to write about Colin Goh lah.

Sandy left early for tuition. She shouldn't have gone early lar, cos I took alot of "wonderful" pictures. Super unglam one. =P The rest were pestering me to delete. Ehs, the lengths a photographer will go to to save his pictures. =)

We actually went to eat at Sakae Sushi cause Darren and Chuan Hui were hungry and Darren wanted to treat us. =| Sad, because I WAS SUPER FULL. AAAAA wasted. Haha, the rest also couldn't finish larr, Kun Zi met us there. I ate like, 5 plates of salmon (salmon is nice), some rice, this shrimp breaded in flour, and a can of ice lemon tea...

Took bus 34 after that. Direct bus from the airport home. =) But the ride was super loong!! Effects of the coffee finally wore off and I could sleep, though the constant jerkiness of the bus kept me awake.

Reached home, hoping that I could just crash onto bed and sleep....when....
My parents wanted to go out for dinner. EEKS MORE FOOD?!?!?!

Haha, went out with my family lar, cause it would be kind of bad if I went out with friends but didn't go out with my family.

Didn't exactly eat for dinner though, phone battery went flat on the bus home...

And now I'm finally home, blogging, don't feel that tired anymore cause I drank milk tea for dinner. =S

I don't think Bishan park is haunted larr, it looks scary come to think of it, but I don't get any weird chills whenever I walk through it at night. I just get this strange feeling I'm being watched and some robber's going to spring up from behind a bush and steal my valuables. =P

Why is it that people love to make assumptions and sterotype others?

23rd September 2006(12.06am)

I'm going to be a brain dead zombie tomorrow with panda eyecircles. =)

Went for Guitar at around 4. Wee, learned lots more new songs, got to use electric guitar again(the feeling is worth it.), and learned a lot more about barcoding and open chords.

Sis couldn't make it as she had remedial. But thankfully Bryan was there to keep me company. =)

Went to J8 after that to eat dinner. Ate at Yoshinoya, and decided to go to the library to return and borrow some books. That is, until I realised I left my book in my other bag, and the library was closed. =(

Went to cyberactive instead to hunt for an amplifier-style plug adapter, but ended up playing burnout revenge on xbox360 instead. All I can say is, Kenny should seriously regret having brought burnout revenge for ps2. The graphics are super life-like, and aftertouch is like something out of the matrix. Takedowns are also much better than the ps2 version, and you have to ablity to change camera angles any point in the race.

I should consider getting xbox360, maybe when halo3 comes out.

Still had lots of time to kill, so we walked to Church, seems like I walk to Church from J8 everytime now. =)

Worship was great, Guan You played the exact same songs that we practised to guitar, so we could look at Adriel and see how he plays. =) The lyrics were really meaningful this time round. I wonder if there's such a word as Extolation. Hmmm

Walked home all alone today. Through Bishan park. Heh, I took quite a few pics. U'd probably have to zoom in closely to see them clearly, and some of the pictures are blur(thanks to my old camera). No edits done at all.

Shot of this BBQ pit from afar. Used flash but apparently it was too far away and I was lazy to set exposure level.

There, that's the BBQ pit up close. Bishan park in the background.

It's a streetlight. Look's freaky right?

Look closely, or highlight the picture, should be able to see shadows of trees.

One of the many corridors in Bishan.

Provision shop in the distance.

The void decks are all empty.

Shot of the bridge linking Bishan park to the houses. Also with no one in sight.

Shot of the sewer river. The only picture with a clear reflection. =/

Bishan park, completely empty.

The lights are on the whole night?

Playground in the distance, super hard to see though.

The dias area. Took this picture with flash.

Final shot of the overhead bridge.

Haha, that's it. Almost forgot, this is the 200th post. =)

50 posts ago.

100 posts ago.

My blogging style's changed huh? Not that many spelling errors. =P

Friday, 22 September 2006

22nd September 2006

Eh, half an hour left to blog before leaving for Church.

Haha, today was full of tests. Class interaction for Assembly meaning we could use the time to study for maths.

Maths test went quite well, I could answer for most of the questions, most of them. =) I actually studied for this test ok?

Geography was a super boring lesson on upcoming topics for the exam, just copying copying and more copying.

Sandy was super angry at me during self-study. =S I can't tell if she's really angry or just acting, =/ Ah wells, I'm forgiven now. =D
Brought guitar to practise, EEKS I STILL HAVEN'T LEARNED HOW TO PLAY C2 YET!!

Chinese was another test, yar, test was hard. =( Handed in my compo I wrote last night/this morning. Topic was "我第一次打架". =\ I wrote extra long for this composition.

That was all for today's lessons.

Didn't go with the boys to play soccer against Charity today. As much as I'd like to help our class get honour and glory and all that stuff, guitar practice comes first. =)

Pineapples Are Sweet.

21st September 2006

I should be stressing out right now.

Today started with me waking up late. Woke up at 6.45. Rushed to school, reached around 7.20? Blehs

Miss Chew didn't come for English lesson today. We had this super strict unreasonable teacher who came in and told us all to keep quiet, not to move around, even before she introduced herself and we greeted her. BLEHS

Then was PE where I played basketball with the boys again. I think soccer's more fun. =) Ehs, Chee hock played half court with Yun Kai 1 on 1 for Chuan Hui and Chee hock lost. =S

Then we got back Geography results for our informal assesments. We only got 36?!?!? Probably cause we used Singlish quite a bit in our script and the sound wasn't working. Got back Geography test results too, I got only 20?!?! Good enough for me lar, but it was fun to go try and argue with Mr Ong for marks.

Chinese was on formal letter writing, and oral topics. Composition to be handed in tomorrow. BLEHS

Music test for music, and Mrs Tay wanted to start from the back. I screwed up quite a bit, but I'd rather not say why. Hahas, got A anyways. Yun Kai got B, but he's gonna redo it. Yea Go Yun Kai!

Stayed back after school for maths remedial. Wee I think I can pass now, finally understand mensuration or pythagoras theorem and all that. Quite easy come to think of it, much easier than C or VisualBasic.

Like: It's just a simple x = a2+b2.
Better than this.

I think I only understand like...4 languages out of the ones listed. So I shouldn't complain huh?

Went to cage where the boys were playing soccer again. I think the boys have like...unsurpassable strength. Like, they played basketball earlier this morning and they still have energy to play soccer, I had energy only for like, 30minutes? After that very nua liao I became tired and lazy.

Heh, I finally remembered how to embed code into websites. Using the code tag. Blehs.

How to crash internet explorer.
Click on this link. (Don't have anything important lah.)

Nothing happens on firefox, opera, safari, camino, gnome, or any other browsers.

Haha, it's simple really, just this line of javascript code:
for (x in document.write) { document.write(x);}
In between two script tags, and you can crash any unsuspecting user who enters your website.

I should add it to my blog and make ie users angry. =P

Laugh

Ceiling of a smoking room.

  • Customer: "Do I need a computer to use your software?"
  • Customer: "I have a message on my screen that says: 'Disk Full'. What can that be?"
  • Tech Support: "Maybe your disk is full."
  • Customer: "Hmmm. OK."
Haha, the rest here.

Tried searching the bookmarks(Ie Users, think Favourites) to see if there's anything funny, and there was(In my opinion). =P

Today was another weird boring day in the life of Minghui. Miss Chew didn't come to school today. Mr Lee didn't exactly scold much(I think he forgot all about it until he saw us =/), and we got back our science paper.

I got 15/30. =\ Ah wells, half the class failed terribly thanks to Chee Hock, or rather, 2 diligence for giving us the wrong answer. Heh.

LCE was the most fun! Played snakes and ladders. Haha, I was grouped with Kenny, Keane and Yun Kai, and we decided that the loser would pay for sweet talk. I won. =D Kenny second. Keane third. And Yun Kai had to pay. =)

Went to swt talk with Kenny after school, because yun kai paid us $1 each and told us to buy ourselves. =S

Went home after that, and I actually decided to go burn all my cds into the computer. Actually not all lar, but most of them. I gave up halfway, now I have 604 songs in my library. I'm considering switching to musicmatch or winamp, but I'm lazy. =)

And I just realised my atrac cd isn't working anymore. There goes 286 songs, many of which I don't have anymore. =( Maybe I'll find some way to obtain an illegal Atrac ripper and attempt to rip the songs and convert to mp3. o.O

Camilla's started calling me a pineapple. I think pineapple's nicer than ah meng. =) At least a pineapple has spiky hair.

19th September 2006

Things have been pretty stressful lately. =/

Planned to do Home Econs last night at 1, after studying for Science. But I lost track of time, and only realised this when it was 3am. =S In the end I felt so "nua" I went to sleep.

Woke up at 5.40, strangely I didn't feel that tired. Weird, but I was so energetic I decided to walk to school, didn't realise I was sweating till I neared Keane's house, and I gave up and took the bus instead. =\ That shows how unfit I am now. =(

Mrs Manning didn't come for art. Heh, so I had time to finish home econs, but still, I think I'm going to redo it, if I have the time.

Got caught by Mr Lee during free period, weird, I guess he was in a bad mood. But we were walking along the steps up to class when he called us down and said we were talking. The argument sort of shifted to whether we were allowed to go canteen or class during free period. And the punishment was 2 rounds around the parade square, reporting to Miss Chew what we did, and meeting him before Assembly tomorrow. I think it's kinda harsh for talking, but hey, kinda reminds me of Mrs Quek all over again. =
Home Econs was in class. =) Did this worksheet on advertisments, and I convinced Yun Kai to make an advertisment for pieapple pine's pineapple pies. =D the power of persuation. And after home econs I went around begging grabbing snatching taking free food from the other half that had their practical test today.

Science test was fairly ok, I think I can pass. =)

Went to play soccer with the boys after school. Almost half the class came including some girls. Weird, soccer is extremely funny sometimes. Really, sure to laugh if your playing soccer with our class. Kenny calls himself a legend, Yun Kai and Chee Hock will continously get teased with:"Chuan Hui Power!", Randolph did nothing for most of the time until the girls came. ;)

Still, it was fun. Considered walking home from school after that, but gave up the thought quickly. =P

I lost my English Life Accents book, all I can remember is passing it to someone... =S

I'm hooked onto Delirous-I could sing of your love forever. Yep, I have a different version which is super cool, actually it's just the bass that is something, especially if you hear it on headphones with extra bass.

Link

Eh, how cool is that? Imagine if project work was like that.

Monday, 18 September 2006

18th September 2006

Haha, Matrix reloaded yesterday was psychologically challenging. It talks a lot about who is in control. Like: If u rely on something to the extent where u cannot live without it. Will you have the power to destroy it?

Ironic, cause it's an action movie. It's the only matrix movie i don't have. =P

It turned out there wasn't a hair and fingernails check. So i cut my wonderful fingernails for nothing and now i have to use a pick. =/

EEKS, I only got 10 for English cloze passage. Yar, Jemaine, Marie and Zuo Ying were trying to put those crosses on my worksheet whenever I got wrong. Then Marie sprayed this deodorant up into my nose. Ouch, painful for quite a while. =\ Maybe one day I should be mean and get angry, but that would be acting. Don't know why I'm not angry either. =|

Started on Macbeth for literature today. It's filled with King James English, which I don't find that bad, having grown up in a Church with King James English Bibles. So there's all the thee's and thine's and thy's and all that stuff, but not as chim as believeth or begotten or something. =)

Whole class got scolded by Mr Ong. Again, haiz, in the end we all had to stay back after school for 10minutes. Blehs.

Bibiana keeps asking me to do that emote thing. Yar, there's this smiley shaking nonono then he starts shaking upwards. Haha whtevr.

Whole bunch of stuff to do. I decided to do a potato salad for home economics!!Like Keane, easy to do. =) I'd throw in pineapples but I think I'd lose a few marks. =
Can't think of anything else to blog about. =S

Don't click if your easily afraid.
=P

Pineapples are sweet.

17th September 2006

Pieapple Pine.

Haha, weird, trying to guess Sandy's favourite food has gotten me only one answer. Pie.

... Nvm, found this from Singapore Dreaming.

After the Temasek talk, I had to scoot off to give another talk to the SPH Media Club - a sort of CCA run by SPH for cub reporters in various schools. I think it's a cool idea. Wish I had that option when I was in school. Sure beats the military band, I can tell you.

Anyway, the kids' assignment was to write something on me for IN Magazine, the Straits Times' school supplement. So I yakked on about the film, and also the other nonsense that I do, like TalkingCock.com, etc.

Generally, the questions were really intelligent, though moderator Paul Tan had to step in at one point and put on his stern editor cap and tekan a couple of students for making assumptions about the film without having even watched it. C'mon, kids, even in Singapore, we're supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, right? Go watch it first!

But overall, it was a kinda sweet experience, as the pics below attest:

Go see the pictures yourself if you want. =)

Thankfully I didn't ask questions, cause I almost wanted to ask if the movie had gotten involved with the law or something. =D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIFG2EZzCMo

(Do not watch if you love carrots)
Gasp, I got this from Joleen. She just msned me and said this was 4sin's video of the month.

YEAH! We should have a 2integrity video of the month too!!

Haha, then Bibiana started telling me to go yahoo.com to see the headlines.

Viruses added to food?

The FDA has approved the use of a viral spray to combat pathogens found in meat and poultry.» Watch video

Then she was like: OMG MINGHUI YOUR GONNA BE ADDED TO FOOD!!
Then I started talking about how I should be added to pieapple pine.

YEAH! I should be added to pieapple pine. I'd make it so much more tastier!

Now Sandy's ignoring and blocking me.

She started like: SHOO. SHOO. SHOO.

Then I said STAY. HEEL. SIT.

And, I promised not to call her a freak show. Neither will I call her Sandicles.

Yep, weird day today. =P

16th September 2006

I'm blogging as I'm eating my mother's homemade cheesecake. YUM.

I'm rich again! =P Ok maybe not again...but I received $50 from google, although if I reveal why I'd be voiding a contract and liable to get sued. Paid off all my debts($7+), paid $6 for class photo, $1 for a new guitar pick(which plays really loud) and the rest for lunch and dinners. I seem to be eating out a lot these few days.

Wait a Minute. Why am I revealing my financial situation?!?!

Blarh nvm, just finished a slice of cheesecake. It's frozen like ice cream with chunky bits of oreo inside. Heh I took another slice. =P

Woke up super early yesterday, at around 5am? For some weird reason, I found myself going to punggol jetty to see the beach. Dunno why, just felt like it. But then, when I decided to go back, at around 6.20...i missed the bus. Long story short, I was just in time for school. =D

Erh, I think I screwed up for lit test, not enough time to write out a proper conclusion for the essay question. Ah well, I think I can pass...I think.

Went with Keane to meet his friend at sweet talk after school. and because he was super hungry, went to kopitiam with him for lunch. I think swt talk's milk tea is nicer than the kopitiam one....but more expensive. =/

SPH talk was interesting. Although it just covered all the points on feature writing I'd already learning during the media club camp. It was still interesting to hear about a new movie, read about the articles given, and just mess around. It was Ryan's Charmaine's and Keane's first trip there...

I was bored at some part, so I came up with a list of what I want to eat, inspired by guan you. =) Maybe I'll post it next time.

Planned to go eat with Keane and Sandy at j8...but then Keane's mum didn't allow, and Sandy was afraid got nothing to talk about. =| Called my sis to see if she wanted to eat out, but then my mum had already brought back dinner for her. Started calling lots of people cause I didn't want to eat alone. =)

Bryan called back and told me he'd meet me at j8, at 7. It was 6 at that time. Haha, spent one hour walking around aimlessly finding headphones, but i gave up at around 6.45 and went to check out the new bishan library.

In my opinion, the new library is small...but still, 4 floors is something. There's a lot of these, window things sticking out of the library, and they are totally unsupported. Wonder what'll happen if some 100kg guy walked over them. =S

Ate at mac's with Bryan, and decided to walk to Church, when it started to drizzle. We decided to walk towards my old kindergarten. Hah, and since my old kindergarten was close to Bryan's senior's house. We decided to go up to visit him. Haha, I told you Bryan can be a good stalker next time, he even counted the number of slippers outside.

Then, as we were walking towards Church, it started to rain heavier, but still we walked, until i looked at my watch and realised we had 5mins left. Then we started walking faster. Nah we made it in time for Church.

Learned a new song at worship today. Rise Up by Third Day. Really meaningful lyrics and all.
Lesson was on the first commandment. It really talks about what other commitments you are putting before God. And maybe I have been taking exams and studies too seriously. Faith is the only thing I need.

Went home quite early today, reached home at around 11. But I was so exhausted to blog that i slept early. Set my alarm to wake me up at 7.10 so i could use comp early tmr. But i forgot to activate it. =
Woke up at 8.45. =S Full of muscle cramps, because i carried my bag around for more than 6hours.

Haha, I felt super tired, but thanks to teh beng. I managed to stay awake...

Went studying with Darren and Sandy at the airport. Heh, I've never really been to the airport, but at least we weren't that lost. Ate at Swensen's for breakfast(Yar!!Not rich now... =/) and completed more than half of that article I was supposed to write on Collin Goh. Haha, but we decided to go explore the viewing gallery, and asked for the bill.

There was a mistake in the bill, but being the honest people we were. =P We went to clarify it, and got a %30 percent discount. See? Being honest pays off after all. Haha.

The viewing mall is a kinda good place to study, if you aren't distracted by people walking, haha, but I didn't exactly study, I was reading a book. =
Sandy says my hair was like a pineapple. HAHA, now I'm hooked onto the word pineapple. Is the apple pine or the pine apple? Or maybe the pioneers saw this thing and mistook it for an apple on a pine. Pinapplely.

Went Hougang mall after that, brought a new set of headphones(finally), took 136 back home so I could try out the new headphones. Quite clear sound, a lot of bass boost and all.

Ok I'm done, going to go get another slice of cheesecake. Maybe with pineapplely pineapple on top? =P

O Btw, 193rd post. =)

14th September 2006

I'm poor today. Yups, borrowed $1 from chee hock to pay for the class photo, $4 from Sandy for recess, and $1 from Alvin to buy a pick. =/ Yep, and I need to pay everyone back tmr and still have enough cash for dinner. =
Chinese oral today, heh, I totally screwed up and mixed up the weird pronounciations. Bleh. But at least I corrected myself =)

Geography test was easy too. At least, I found it easy. =P But I'm sure I did something wrong, especially in the last question where I included a whole bunch of general knowledge stuff. Haha, Kenny was showing off how much he had written by waving his paper in the air. His handwriting was big so it "seemed" like he wrote more. Seemed.

Geography presentation today too, however, thanks to technical difficulties, we had to act without the use of a laptop or projector. Ah wells, at least Mr Ong said he'd look at our presentation. =)

Went Compass point to celebrate Chuan hui's birthday. However, thanks to the fact that I'm poor, me and Yun Kai walked around doing lots of weird stuff around compass point.
For Example: We went to play test drive unlmimited at CyberActive, extremly cool graphics, but it's more of a simulation than a racing game. HD graphics are superbly detailed. It's so detailed you can see the reflection of trees of the back of your car whilst driving, and it changes accordingly with how you drive.
Borrowed $1 from Alvin to buy a pick too. Ya, I want a new one, =) But becos I was so poor, I could only buy one. Blehs

Wee, Sph talk tmr, I dunno if keane can go cos he has a student leader quiz. Hmm, at most I'll wait for keane and we can go late. =) Hopefully it ends early and I can make it for guitar practise. =D

13th September 2006

I'm going to blog profoundly, just to see how it turns out.
Chim:Today was, for me, indecisive and boring, although it did contain a touch of clumsyness on my part. Like, for example, having dropped my phone on the floor numerous times. The day started in a deathly atmosphere, yes exaggeration does distort the human mind, but that aside, Chuan hui celebrated her birthday in class today. Although it was, pretty low-key, there was still an unnerving atmosphere, something just waiting to happen.
Not Chim:I to mess around when i found this cute fish in keane's pencil box. It's a sharpener la, then u can open the mouth to throw away whatever pencil stuff u have in there. So fun, then Sandy took it and tried to bite me with the fish, it broke. =S Chim:And speaking of anticipation, I left my reader's digest magazine on Keane's table. Another amazing example of how definitive distractions lead to one's forgetfulness. Thanks to Chee hock for lending me his reader's digest, how magnimous of him. English started with a reading of a Secondary one girl's essay, it was enlightening, insightful, and a crude wake up call for some, reminding us of the harsh constraints of society and the ever changing landscape of education. She used a wonderful combination of rethorical questions that sets one thinking and the short sentences set a fast-paced style of reading.
Not Chim:Eh Geography was a torture after that. Cos in the end we didn't have to do until tmr lor. Ah well, at least we wont be so stressed by the presence of Mrs Wong and Miss Michael there and can score better. =)

Haha nvm...i give up. I feel like I'm writing a persuasive essay....or argumentative....or whatever u wanna call it la. Feels much more natural to blog this way, although i have an uncanny ability to come up with hyper chim stuff almost instantly, it seems hard to write them down.

Even if no one spares a thought for you, even if no one likes you, or if no one helps you, or if no one spares a thought for you. You do not have a right to make life miserable for others. You do not have a right to insult others. And you most certainly do not have a right to insult someone who is trying to make the class better.

I'm talking about you Zuo Ying.

Sandy: I WANT MY SWT TALK. Im Shy.

12th September 2006

Eileen says I look like a primary school kid today. Which is through cos I didn't really wash my hair with shampoo and all in the morning. Just a quick rinse and soap. =/ Cos i was rushing to school to meet Sandy for her cheng yu book. But she was later than me. =P

Haha, first three periods were spent in agony watching people do their Chinese oral thing. In the end, there wasn't enough time was the last few to do. =\ not that I'm complaining. =)

Home Econs was spent in the computer lab. Hee, got to play games and all. And I realised I have a whole bunch of music in my gmail storage folders. Like, I vaugely remember uploading my music files into gmail using a firefox extension. But that was a long time ago. And the music still works!!HEH no visible data corruption or anything.

Science was also in the computer lab, people spamming all around. -.- The elearning portal should seriously have some spam control thing. A simple php timer would have solved it...haha, couldn't really concentrate much, and the assesment questions were super hard. Like:"Which of the following converts nitrogen into oxides." And they give mcq answers like:'De-nitrifying or rhaposdum or something." =S

The scariest thing happened to me today. Ok maybe not scary, but shocking. I received an email from myself. =) Thanks to futureme.org. I received an email from myself exactly one year ago. Extremely unexpected, and weirdly, just the right thing I needed. It fit in with what was happening to me now. All of it. I completely forgot about using futureme until I read that email, everything came back to me. It was 1 in the morning, the 4th year anniversary of the sept 11th attacks. I can't remember why I sent it, can't remember what I was feeling. But here's what it says.

Dear FutureMe, hello hello hello hello...It's a Wednesday night and you are at a church prayer meeting when somebody runs in from the parking lot and says,"Turn on a radio, turn on a radio."

And while the church listens to a little transistor radio with a microphone stuck up to it, the announcement is made: "Two women are lying in a Long Island hospital dying from the mystery flu."

Within hours it seems, this thing just sweeps across the country. People are working around the clock trying to find an antidote. Nothing is working. California, Oregon, Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts. It's as though it's just sweeping in from the borders.

And then, all of a sudden the news comes out. The code has been broken. A cure can be found. A vaccine can be made.

It's going to take the blood of somebody who hasn't been infected, and so, sure enough, all through the Midwest, through all those channels of emergency broadcasting, everyone is asked to do one simple thing: Go to your downtown hospital and have your blood type taken. That's all we ask of you.

When you hear the sirens go off in your neighborhood, please make your way quickly, quietly, and safely to the hospitals. Sure enough, when you and your family get down there late on that Friday night, there is a long line, and they've got nurses and doctors coming out and pricking fingers and taking blood and putting labels on it. Your wife and your kids are out there, and they take your blood type and they say,"Wait here in the parking lot and if we call your name, you can be dismissed and go home."

You stand around, scared, with your neighbors, wondering what in the world is going on and if this is the end of the world.

Suddenly a young man comes running out of the hospital screaming. He's yelling a name and waving a clipboard. What? He yells it again! And your son tugs on your jacket and says, "Daddy, that's me." Before you know it, they have grabbed your boy. Wait a minute. Hold on! And they say,"It's okay, his blood is clean. His blood is pure. We want to make sure he doesn't have the disease. We think he has got the right type."

Five tense minutes later, out come the doctors and nurses, crying and hugging one another -- some are even laughing.

It's the first time you have seen anybody laugh in a week, and an old doctor walks up to you and says, "Thank you, sir. Your son's blood type is perfect. It's clean, it is pure, and we can make the vaccine."

As the word begins to spread all across that parking lot full of folks, people are screaming and praying and laughing and crying. But then the gray-haired doctor pulls you and you wife aside and says, "May we see you for a moment? We didn't realize that the donor would be a minor and we need...we need you to sign a consent form."

You begin to sign and then you see that the number of pints of blood to be taken is empty. "H-how many pints?"

And that is when the old doctor's smile fades and he says, "We had no idea it would be a little child. We weren't prepared.

We need it all!"

"But-but...You don't understand."

"We are talking about the world here. Please sign. We-we need it all!"

"But can't you give him a transfusion?"

"If we had clean blood we would. Can you sign?"

"Would you sign?" In numb silence, you do. then they say, "Would you like to have a moment with him before we begin?"

Can you walk back? Can you walk back to that room where he sits on a table saying, "Daddy? Mommy? What's going on?"

Can you take his hands and say, "Son, your mommy and I love you, and we would never ever let anything happen to you that didn't just have to be. Do you understand that?"

And when that old doctor comes back in and says, "I'm sorry, we've--got to get started. People all over the world are dying." Can you leave?

Can you walk out while he is saying, "Dad? Mom? Dad? Why - why have you forsaken me?"

And then next week, when they have the ceremony to honor your son, and some folks sleep through it, and some folks don't even come because they go to the lake, and some folks come with a pretentious smile and just pretend to care.

Would you want to jump up and say, "MY SON DIED FOR YOU! DON'T YOU CARE?"

Is that what GOD wants to say? "MY SON DIED FOR YOU. DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I CARE?"

"Father, seeing it from your eyes breaks our hearts. Maybe now we can begin to comprehend the great Love you have for us." k that's all

No smiley...no full stop at the end(which is sort of like, habitual for me.)...But I can't remember how I must have felt then.

Still, it pretty much relates to what I'm going through now. Maybe I haven't been focusing on him lately, it seems so distant that he sent Jesus to die for us. Like, so historical. But if I could rewrite the story...it wouldn't have been so simple as anesthetic death. God died in one of the worst ways possible, caked in dried blood, strips of skeletal muscle hanging from his body. It's scary, yet scientifically proven.

I sent another email to myself on 1/1/2010. But i have no way to view what it says until the time comes. But by 2010 i'll probably be in a jc or poly.

11th September 2006

5 Weird Facts About Me That You Should Know:
  1. I have never gotten sunburnt, only tanned really black, but never experienced sunburn before. =P
  2. I've about 10 different email accounts, ranging from gmail to lycos to terramail. Yep.
  3. I'm left-handed, my whole family is right-handed, don't know why really. I do a lot of things with my right hand and left hand.
  4. I have never been overseas except to Malaysia. =\
  5. I haven't been on an airplane before. =/
So today was September 11th, I still can't believe that people would believe the attacks were planned by the government.
Video.
(It's long.)
It's kinda convincing you know, but wow, kind of unexpected that someone would be suspicious of the very government that's helping them. I imagine the government is pissed. Haha.

I can finally barcode Bm and F and all that, if i concentrate hard enough and focus...hee. I'm gonna try picking next, I'm terrible at picking. =S

9th September 2006

School holidays are almost over, and I'm finding weird ways to take breaks from studying. =PLike messing around in gimp creating and experimenting with fxflares and gx lighting effects and all that. Hee.
Eh, i think it looks quite nice right?
And, I was so bored i decided to take photos of stuff around my room. Heh.I don't think anyone will guess what this is...looks like some weird hologram right?

This angle looks dam nice la, esp if it was shot outside with a cloudy sky.
O if u didn't know, that's my classical guitar, kinda obvious. -.-
I still have it, from last june's media club camp. =P

O btw, I got a job, pretty much part time. But hey, payment is at least $100. Yesh, AT LEAST $100. Hehe, I won't tell u what I'm doing, but it doesn't involve anything illegal like drugs or alcohol.

It's something to do with computers. =P

But i somehow have to install lots of new software and get used to the interface. Yar, found lots of stock photos, very nice stock photos.
Dunno if it's copyright, if it is, then credit goes to Olympus Master 2005. =)

Yar, I'm full of pics today. And I'm still hooked. =/

9th September 2006

I don't feel tired at all. Strange...

Didn't go for np today. Bleh, celebrated mother's birthday instead. Yar, family's more important right?

Guitar practice. Wee, learned lots on barcoding and open chords. So now I'm playing the 4 barcode notes from Everyday by Hillsongs. An Australian band came for cell tonight. Stickpenny!(or was it shickpeni?Or shtickpenny?Either way, something like that lar) Quite nice really, change from usual worship songs and all.

Took 136 back after cell. *gasp* I've been taking 136 back from church for 3 times in a row. Actually, it's cause I'm lazy to change to mrt, and I usually run out of ez-link money on friday. So it's usually a long 1hour+ ride all the way home. Yar, it's a direct bus, only the bus stop is three bus stops away.

Reached home at 11.30pm. Eh, I wonder if any police will stop me in the future, cause there's a curfew thing. Ah well, my parents know about it anyway. =)

I'm hooked onto the smiley thing Sandy passed to me in msn.You should see it in real time. One sec it faces on side, then the image inverts. So now I'm using it like every few minutes, haha.

Thursday, 7 September 2006

7th August 2006

Civil Defence course yesterday. Quite...interesting...lasted only around 5hours instead of 18hours as stated. It's like, the easiest badge ever!!Even easier than Sana. Wee, and we could play around with CO2 fire extinguishers and dry ice. Like, i never knew that CO2 fire extinguishers gave off dry ice. Or that there's a class D type of fire which involves flammable metals like titanium or magnesium. So yar, learned quite a bit.

We could go home after lunch. =D But I stayed back to play captain's ball. Weird, none of the girls from our squad stayed back, all of the boys did. But still, around 45mins of fun.

Yesterday was also Hao Xiang's birthday, and also my mother's. But thanks to np, I haven't given mum her present yet.(It's a floating bubble thingy I brought last tuesday.) O and I gave Hao Xiang his present.(A piece of high quality foolscrap paper which he didn't want.)

I see turtles everywhere now. Wait, was it roses or turtles? Kinda stupid of ppl to do that really. You think your "honouring" or "remembering" him? I don't think Steve Irwin would want millions of people to put turtles or roses in their msn nick as a "memorial". I think he'd rather people donate their free time to wildlife conservation? It's amazing how fast spam travels though.

Eeks.

5th September 2006

Eh. I woke up at 8 this morning. I'm supposed to feel tired, but somehow I was energetic. Bleh.

Went for school at 8.30, and reached there at 9. Since no one was around, I decided to walk over to hougang mall to see if the shops were open. In the rain. And the shops weren't open. So I walked back. In the rain.

Yep, maybe I should have stayed in school doing something constructive instead of wasting 15 mins walking aimlessly here and there. Ah well.

Oral was horrible. I completely forgot what I wanted to say. Hee, I ended up talking about how other schools were having clowns in their classrooms and how the blind children's teacher wanted to treat them like equals and hence hired a clown. Ya, I think I'm not going to do well this time.

O yar, then Miss Chew asked what I wanted to work as in the future for the third part of the oral. I was like:"Er...". I thought it might be something like:"Would you want to be in the clown's position?" or something. =/

2nd September 2006

Stress is healthy.

Went to watch monster house yesterday with gerald and josiah. Wenjie didn't reply my msg, Weejin went fishing, Andre was with sec sch frens, and Kevin was somewhere in perth. =( Ah well.

Monster house is funny, but it is still a kids show. I think it's way too scary to be a kids show. But hey, that's my opinion. We walked around j8 for 2 and a half hours before the show. Saw quite a few ppl from my sch walking around for the yellow ribbon flag day.

Speaking of the yellow ribbon flag day, i completely forgot to go do it with my church. I remembered they advertised and my sis and i wanted to go. Haish.

Walked to Church with gerald. He actually agreed to walk three bus stops with me. Hee. But yea, he didn't go Church with me cos it was guitar practice and he would be aimlessly sitting down there watching me play. =(

Guitar practice! =) Finally a friday where I can make it. Got to use an electric guitar again, I kinda forgot how it felt like and how easy it was to barcode. But still, learned more on picking/plucking/whatever you call it. I'd want to make it again next friday but I dunno, I think i forgot the eagdbe thingy.

Cell was on the story of Samson. Interesting, but many people didn't come thanks to Ns, Os, and As. N level=Not so stress. O level=Ordinary stress. A level=Absolute stress. Heh.

Reached home at around 11:40. Started preparing my full u. Yep, took about 1hour, slept at 1.

Today, alarm woke me up at 7.30. But I was so tired i crashed back to bed. Woke up at 8.30 instead. Yep, I'm always late. =/

Can you imagine bringing your school bag and a guitar to school? Throw in NPCC full uniform and Boots. Heh, it wasn't that bad really.

POP itself was really hot. I mean literally, quite a few people not feeling well. But still, reminded me a lot of last year's parade, and since it is pretty much the last time we'll see most of them...

Concert went quite ok too. Although we did screw up for the last chorus. Yar, we screwed up. =) Still, it went quite smoothly. And yar, I won a mystery prize! 10mins free break during training. Hee, Nigel says it's like last term's history lesson where I had one hour free period. =P (Although i didn't use it.)

I met Chee Hock on the bus home!! How coincidental is that? (he calls it fate) Heh, unexpected though.
