H.I. Musical.

Gosh it has been tiring for the past few days. And I haven't used the computer for such a long time too. Like, so many things have happened already. My father came back from Japan on Saturday, my sisters got 2 hamsters but haven't named them yet, Bill Gates stepped down from Microsoft, and a bunch of other random events which I've forgotten already.

But anyways, our performance for I Want To Be A Star: The Competition was on Wednesday. Our band name was Hotshoe and we performed an acoustic cover of View From Heaven by Yellowcard. Haha, and we got into top 3! Was not expecting to get into top 3, but yea! Our hard work on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday paid off. =D Thanks to everyone whom wished us congratulations or good luck. =D

Went to the Drama Centre on Thursday and Friday cause we had to take photographs so we got to skip school but we unfortunately had to miss our lessons in school. =\

Seriously though, had lots of fun taking photos with Lenson, Ryan, Alvin, Ivan, View Meng, and Mr. Yeo. And also Wilson whom joined us on the actual day. I learned break dancing, hip-hop and beat boxing. ;) We also told lots of stupid jokes like: "Did you hear the joke about the vacuum cleaner? Yar, it sucks." And we filmed footage for a short film in the making, about The Search For Alvin or something like that. Heh. And played Mr Yeo's guitar singing whatever songs came to our mind for some time too. =D

I think there's too many stupid things to list down la. Like me serving out packet lunches as if they were gourmet items, or me shooting a commercial for Nikon (pronounced Nai-Kon), or break dancing/hip-hop in the dark. AH. I think everyone thinks I'm an extremely weird, lame, attention-seeking, psychologically unstable person now. I'm actually a very focused sensible mature evaluative and reasoning introspective person. Yup.

But we didn't just have fun la, I took at least 1324 pictures, not counting the hundreds I deleted on the spot, and now there's the daunting task of going through each and every picture to decide what to keep. I slept only for like 1am to 6am for all three days, but it's still not as bad as an NPCC Camp la, so it was survivable. =)

Sadly, my sore throat is back again. I think I've laughed too much already. Blah.

The Musical itself was great, I think it went rather well. And I saw the CEO/Founder of 77th Street. I saw her before at the Habitudes Experience! Haha, okay shall stop name-dropping or whatever that is.

Went for supper at Macdonald's at Hougang Mall after everything. What a way to threat a sore throat. Haha. And Jing Hao's working there. o.0 Then took 62 home, reached home at about 12.30am.

And Chee Hock got into an accident after the Musical, he went to play pool at Hougang Green and got knocked down by a taxi on his bicycle on his way back. But at least he's okay la, I think he's extremely lucky to only have a minor bone fracture, he must have an angel la. ;)

Hotshoe+Mr Yeo! Also known as Team Kakashi, but I don't watch Naruto so I have no idea.

Back To School.

Sigh, it's back to school again. It doesn't really seem like term 3 already, it doesn't even seem that the holidays have even started. I still feel as if I'm just beginning Secondary 4. Haha okay shall stop being so philosophical.

Spent Sunday at home sleeping. And recovering la. Drank countless glasses of water, and slept from the Morning until about Evening. My sore throat was still horrible though. =(

My hair was caught for being too long on Monday. Sighs. But I didn't cut my hair for about 3 months already la, so. Haha. I should have worn a hairclip like Chee Hock.

Lessons started immediately on the first day of school. And there was PE too, but unfortunately no one knew so no one brought PE attire anyways. Gosh, lessons were all bleach. I was like half asleep, cause I spent the entire Sunday just sleeping too. Haha. But okay la, spinning pens at the back of the class with Stephen keeps you awake. =)

Went to cut hair after school because there was about 2 hours to waste away before Social Studies Workshop, then went for lunch at Pepper Lunch, then went back to school.

Then when I was walking back to class Denise asked me a question.

Denise: Hey Minghui you cut your hair ah?!
Minghui: Er, yea...
Denise: SO UGLY!! HAHAHAHAHA!
Minghui:=\

Some people simply have no consideration for the feelings of others. Sighs.

Went back to class for the Social Studies Workshop. I think the workshop just sort of reiterates the source based question skills, with a different teacher and different materials. At least, can practice pen tricks with Stephen. Haha. =D

Stayed back to practice for Wednesday's competition performance. I think the song we're playing, View From Heaven by Yellowcard, is a nice song. Like, I didn't think it was a nice song last time, but after hearing it for a couple of times and seeing the lyrics, it's kind of sad and upbeat at the same time.

Practiced until 6+, then went back home.

Went to school today carrying a camera bag, a guitar bag, and my school bag. Haha. Kind of like, a challenge you know, need to keep switching your hands and maintain your balance and everything to accomplish various tasks like tapping your Ez-Link card. I succeeded in getting to school without dropping anything, or knocking anything. Heh.

Can't remember what I learned during lessons. Sighs. Okay, I guess I could remember what I did learn during lessons if I tried, but who wants to read such things? Haha. We had hot chocolate after English lesson though, a treat from Ms Quan. Awesome! Hot Chocolate is okay la, haha, but I prefer cold chocolate.

Ate lunch at the canteen with Mr Yeo, Lenson and Ryan. Haha. Laughed a lot over lunch too.

Practiced for our performance again after school. Hotshoe! Yea!! Haha. And messed around learning Lenson's violin a bit too. The strings are so small and spaced so close! Bleh.

Went to take a couple of photos of the rehearsal at the hall, then took 62 home with Denise. Hah, I'm such a nice guy man, taking the bus home with someone who thinks my hair is ugly. Sighs.

Haha, I feel so lethargic these past few days. Oh and I tried googling the sore throat/flu medicine I've been taking. Which is called Became or something like that. But I can't find anything online! Gah. Maybe I've been taking some horrible poison all this while!! Like, how can you know such things anyways, haha, it depends on how trustworthy your doctor is, and how trustworthy your doctor's supplier is, and how trustworthy your doctor's supplier's manufacuter is, and on and on. It's a huge list of people to be trustworthy. =O

But my sore throat's almost gone anyways. So that means I'll speak perfectly during Chinese O Level Oral Examinations. Hahaha. Unfortunately there's so many more things to do, and er, my holiday homework is not exactly but definitely or not completely on the contrary unsurely finished. :)

*Click*

I'm kind of sick of taking photos already. I think I've taken like, more photos during this holiday than in the past 6 months put together. And I've been to so many places I can't remember when I did what anymore. =( Good thing I have a blog. Haha.

I can rememer what I did this week though, cause it was pretty much the same. Spent Monday, Tuesday and Thursday taking photos of the H.I. Musical. I have about, 400 pictures of the musical rehearsal in the hall, not counting those that I deleted cause they were blur or pointless, or those that I deleted on the spot then cause of super blurriness and pointlessness. It's around 1000+ clicks of the camera shutter for the rehearsals alone. And it sort of gets increasingly harder to take nicely composed shots cause the nice pictures have already been shot. =\

But thankfully there's Ryan and Lenson to break the monotony. Hahaha. The three of us are forever flashing each other with our external flash units. And we told Denise that Ryan is from MDIS and is in school because he's Mr. Yeo's friend. =P

There was Geography extra lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8.30am too. Haha. Got back our Geography mock exam results. Quite sad, I tied with Wan Ting and Yi Han at 41/50. =( Okay la, I didn't really expect to do so well because I didn't exactly study at all, unless you consider flipping through the textbook 10 minutes before the exam studying. I shall study hard for Geography in the future and regain my reputation! Next time.

Went to Little India on Wednesday after Geography, but that's in the previous post so I shall not bother.

Went to Vivo City on Thursday after taking photos for the Musical cause the three of us had nothing else better to do. Lenson and me both bought formal shirts from Zara Men at $89.90. I'm so in love my new shirt, the designs and colours are oh so adorable. *cough* And Ryan was like our fashion adviser. Hahaha. Then we went for dinner at Carl's Junior, went to the rooftop to attempt to take pictures of the sunset, but the Sun was blocked by the Harbourfront Tower. Blah. =X

Developed a flu and a blocked nose on Friday. Sneezing non-stop too. Then it developed further into a sore throat as well. I think it's all that junk food I've been eating or my irregular meal timings. Bleahs. Horrible. But I still ate cornflakes at 2am anyways cause I was hungry. Honey Stars! :)

Time to go catch my running nose. Haha. Yea cold joke, but I have a mild fever now anyways so it doesn't matter. =P

Little India.

Haha. Okay. Went to Little India on Wednesday with Darren and Wan Ting. Like, kind of random. And I've never gone to take photos with Darren and Wan Ting before (though I'm sure they go out to take pictures lots of times without me heh), but we're all SLR users. Lol. Darren used his LC-A and Holga which are both film cameras. Gosh. And Wan Ting used a Fisheye Lens film camera. Woah, I'm like the only one able to take multiple shots haha.

We walked from Farrer Park Station to Mustafa, then tried to walk towards Little India.

I can say that Wan Ting is super thick-skinned. Haha. That's a compliment cause some of the best photos can only be taken by being thick-skinned lor.

Wanted to take the same photo as this picture, but the angle and saturation's all different la. -.-

Horrible shot of that new Arts University thing. Gah. Shall go there again next time and get a decent shot.

Short!

Went for lunch after the above picture was taken at this food court. Eh, I used to go there for lunch after Church, but that place looks so much darker and dirtier now. Blee. We went off again after lunch to take more pictures.

This was edited extensively. So, yea.

If only the shop owner had hung up some better contrasting garlands. Sighs.

Wan Ting was trying to pose as the guy above her.

This bird was awesome. Cause it stay in that spot with its wings raised long enough for me to take a picture. =)

Excessive use of spotlights.

Haha okay there's the animated picture of Wan Ting, but I'm too tired to focus already. =(

NCO Campfire '08.

Went for NCO Camp Campfire last Sunday. Although I couldn't make it for the camp la, but hope the Sec 2s and 3s learned lots from NCO Camp. =)

Haha, met Nigel and Yi Hong outside Shop and Save first, then went to school. I think I'm growing tall man, my NCO long sleeve leaves like a few inches when I raise my hands slightly already. Either my hands are growing longer or my shirt has shrunk. =X

Campfire was quite okay la, took quite a few photos, then was our campfire performance which went rather well. =D Although I was acting as 'Minghui' Mdm, wah, I realised I've acted as a female for like, 3 or 4 times already. -.- Well, this proves I have awesome acting skills. =P

Then after the campfire we start taking squad pictures like crazy. Haha. It's like, the last campfire for most of us la, so...nostalgic I guess.

Haha, Rawk On!

Rest of the pictures, would be around in the blogosphere I guess. Don't want to put them here cause I'm lazy and there's quite a lot of pictures in my blog already. Haha.

Anyways, went for late supper at Macdonalds with Yi Hong and Nigel after that, then took 136 home with Yi Hong. Hah. And I know a secret. =P

Firefox 3.

Link.

Actually, you should download it just to get involved in helping set a world record for the most number of downloads of a software in 24 hours. =) Until 1am tonight though.

Busy Eating.

Haven't been blogging for more than a week already. =X Lots of random events to blog about, so it will be a long post. =) And plenty of pictures too so if you have like a 56k internet connection then you should disable photos or something. Ah whateverr. Oh and all food described in this post will be italicized.

Anyways, when I'm not going out doing stuff I'm wasting my time away at home doing anything but homework. =\ I think my room's too distracting, too much stupid pointless unproductive things to do.

Like, taking pictures of Snowie. I think he's very afraid of my camera now cause the flash keeps blinding his eyes.

Or I'm messing around with Virtual DJ.
Dam cool la, allows you to do a whole bunch of effects, crossovers, samples, mixing, and a bunch of other audio related things. ;) It's an awesome time waster too.

Went to Parkway Parade on Monday for dinner. Ate at this steamboat thing. Gosh. The food is okay la, but everything there is highly overpriced. Like, since when did ice water cost 30cents? Sigh. The steamboat was nice though. =)

Then went grocery shopping at Giant. Whilst waiting at the cashier spamming some random pen trick, this elderly man and lady were like looking at me and trying to catch my eye. =O

Then when I looked up and saw them looking at me the lady asked :"Can I borrow your pen?"

Me being such a gracious and wonderful person *cough* I replied :"Of course" and gave her the pen which I was spinning. Haha. =D

Then she used the pen to write on some lucky draw forms before returning it to me and saying something like :"Oh because you were twirling it and all, thank you."

Haha, although I'd prefer pen spinning to twirling, it's still cool man.

Went for squad meeting on Tuesday at Kovan mac. Nothing much la, but we discussed the skit for campfire performance. Went to play Defence Of The Ancients at this LAN shop near Kovan, gosh I haven't played that game for almost a year already. So many new items and heroes la. Blah. Teamed with Hao Xiang and Jun Liang against Chee Sheng and Wei Kit.

Joshua was such a computer addict he got the most kills, but his team lost because Chee Sheng has never played Defence Of The Ancients before. Haha. And I think I killed 3 people and died 10 times. =X Mostly due to Joshua backstabbing me and me not even knowing. Sigh.

Went to take pictures of the HI Musical rehearsals on Wednesday. Met Lenson in the Morning at his house and walked to school. Got to meet Ryan who's a photographer and guitar-player too. Awesome, haha. The three of us were like talking and playing around flashing each other with our external flash units. Unfortunately my flash unit is the lousiest la.

Took a couple of photographs but I don't think I should post them here. =) Go visit www.hihsmusical.blogspot.com if you want to see the pictures which should be up shortly. (Shameless Advertising)

Haha, stayed in the canteen and talked with Ryan and Lenson for about an hour. Haha. From cameras to games to computers to lots of other random things.

Then went down to Downtown East after that for a chalet with my family. Feels weird going for a chalet with your family, but it's quite fun la. Ordered 2 pizzas for lunch. =D Lazed around the chalet for a while, then went out to explore around the new E! Hub.

There was a care bear meet and greet session, but unfortunately I missed it. =(

Walked around E! Hub which has like cinemas, bowling alleys, an ice-skating rink, all the other entertainment stuff. Then we went to New York for dinner.

=D Ate this bbq platter for 2 people,
and this seafood platter also for 2 people.
=D I was super full by the end la, and we managed to finish everything with enough room for cotton candy.
Haha, the raw salmon and crab were awesome, and the chicken too. The ribs were not glazed with any sauce though, so it was kind of dry.

Went to the arcade at the 4th floor after dinner and tried to play the soft toy grabbing machine. The one where you press the up down button to try and grab the soft toy. Haha. I think we spent like $6 just trying to get this Winnie The Pooh one. But it's impossible la. Like, we got so close that the hooks actually grazed past Winnie The Pooh's shirt, but did not grab him up cause the hooks all got no strength one. -.-

Then, because we had nothing better to do, we caught a late night movie at 10:45pm. Kung Fu Panda! Haha. It's a hilarious show la. Definitely worth watching. And the tickets only cost $6, and the cinema was quite deserted, should watch late night movies more often. =)

Went back to our chalet after that, and slept at around 2am. Because it's a family chalet la, so never ton. But I woke up at an insane time of 6.30am to go catch the Sunrise at Pasir Ris Park. And naturally I brought my camera along.

Of course, you're probably thinking that Minghui taking pictures = stupid pictures of random nonsensical objects of no meaning or purpose; like some stick stuck in a bottle lying on the beach or something.

And that is exactly what I have done.

=)

In case you didn't know, that is a coconut tree. =D

Saw this weird looking thing lying on the grass. A couple of bees were buzzing around it too. Then I looked up and saw even more of these things.

I guess it's a flower la. -.-

Oh, I did take pictures of the Sunrise la. Eventually. Haha.

I found these starfish in a rock pool on top of a rock(duh). Tried like 30 different shots of the starfish but almost all came out blur. =X I think there's a small crab in the picture too.

Oh, and whilst I was happily taking pictures, this guy cycled past me and stopped. Then he turned around and told me something along the lines of "if you want to take pictures of the Sunrise, now is the best time."

Haha. I think my expression is best described as : O.o

He started talking about all sorts of photography things, like the D300 he uses but forgot to bring along, the best place in Pasir Ris park to take Sunrise shots. And throughout the conversation my expression didn't really change much. Haha. Maybe I'm not used to having strangers come up to me and comment on how to take pictures la. He even asked me if I knew about the Rule of Thirds. -.-

Went for breakfast at Macdonald's after taking enough pictures and saying goodbye to that guy. Yea I think Mcgriddles is nice.

Saw this cat when we were checking out. Scary eyes.

Haha, I think I've posted way too many pictures already. But ahhh whatever. =P Took bus 3 back home, then rested a while and went out in the Afternoon for lunch. Went to Jack's Place at Causeway Point. =D Ate some Mushroom and Chicken baked rice. Didn't take any picture though, cause I didn't bother to bring my camera along.

Okay, then I went back home and lazed around. Went out for dinner at Sentosa. Haha. Actually we contemplated eating at Food Republic but decided on eating just 豆花 and going to the Kou Fu in Sentosa for dinner. But because we took such a long time to get to the food court that it was like closed by the time we reached. Blee. Haha. Walked around Sentosa anyways.

There was this group of children walking in front of us, then when the fireworks from the Songs Of The Sea lit up, they were all like :"AAAAHH AAAAAHHH!!!" They were super enthusiastic and happy just to see fireworks. I don't remember being like that when I was young. Sighs.

Went back to Vivo City, walked around some more, then went for supper at Toast Box. Haha. Ate Kaya Toast and Teh Bing. More food. =)

Went back to Vivo on Friday. -.- Watched Kung Fu Panda again, with Denise and Stephen and Geraldine *eyebrows more repeatedly up and down* Lol. Had lunch at Food Republic, then went to the arcade and played around. Unfortunately I won everybody in some weird The Fast and The Furious racing game which is horribly slow. Heehee. =P

Took a train down to Bishan for cell group after that. Haha, message was quite funny. Cause it was about BGR. But it's like mostly common sense stuff la.

Went back home after that, but stopped by at the Pasar Malam near my house.

Haha. =P More food.

Went for lunch at Carl's Junior at Big Splash on Saturday.

Tried the Western Bacon burger. =D

Then we went to Mount Faber and Henderson Crossing. It's that new bridge connecting Kent Ridge to Mount Faber la.

Anyways, went to some lookout point on Mount Faber first cause we got lost somewhere. But from the lookout point you can see the bridge so we made our way there. Haha.

The bridge is quite nice la. The design is such that you can't really see any sharp corners and jutting edges, it's all flowing like waves. Hence it's called Henderson Waves. =)

But I think the place is a magnet for photographers already. I saw this couple having their wedding photos taken by a photographer with D3 and this huge bulky lens, and this guy with 300mm and D300 with battery grip, and a bunch of other Canon Eos users and a D80 guy too. Okay, I guess half the people reading won't know what I'm talking about. Heh.

Wanted to walk the entire trail until Kent Ridge Park, but my family were all quite tired after getting lost in Mount Faber already. Haha.

Wanted to go to the Suntec City Convention Center for the IT show, but I changed my mind at the last moment because I don't want to depress myself seeing all the awesome gadgets and knowing that I can't afford any. =(

In the end we decided to go to the Botanical Gardens. =) Super adventurous right? Lol.

Haha. The bigger tortoise must be like : -.- Then the smaller one must be like : =P

WAH. LOOK at the way that girl can ride the bike without touching the pedals.

Haha, the dog is looking at me!! I think this was an extremely tyco shot cause the dog only looked at me for about 3 seconds and I simply happened to be passing by in between 2 trees and the couple happened to both be looking the other way. =)

Emo statue.

Okay, that's about what I did for the past week. I think I've gained at least a kilogram from all that food. Haha.
