PSL Camp 2008.

Went to take pictures of the Peer Support Leader Camp in school on Boxing day, which is also Eugene the Lao Da's Birthday! Hahaha. =D

Went to school with Ryan and Stephen on Friday first. Lenson couldn't make it for some reason. Lugged my laptop along also for Cell group at night too.

It's pretty much the same kind of thing as last year, although I think taking photos is more tiring mentally. It's quite simple and easy at first, but after taking 200+ pictures you begin to feel very tired of handling the camera and looking for nice compositions and angles already. =S But at least we can entertain ourselves, haha.

Okay went around taking pictures, then left sometime in the Afternoon. Bought a cake for Eugene and Nina at Hougang Mall, then went to Dhoby Ghaut and waited for Elaine Ang for a super long time. -.- Then we walked to Cathay and 'surprised' them hahaha.

Don't have a nice looking picture of Eugene on that day, so shall just kop from somewhere else!

Joshua the NIKE AIR MONSTER!

Haha Hao Xiang, Joshua, Woei Jiun, Elaine, Li Jing and Wei Ting were there too. Then they went to catch a movie but I didn't go cause I had cell group. Had an early dinner at Subway with Hao Xiang, Eugene and Joshua first before the movie, then I took a train to Bishan.

Cell group was okay, had a guest speaker named Sui and his message was okay too. Didn't have cell group but did stupid things instead. Hahaha. Like playing the drums and beatboxing at the same time. =O

Reached home rather late at night, then woke up early in the Morning to go to school again. =S

Took 136 back home at around 11pm, then met Hao Xiang and went to play Basketball. O.o We stopped at around 12.30am though, cause someone shouted down at us from the 5th or 6th floor. Then we jogged around the court instead. =D

Was half dead by the time I reached home at around 2am. Hahaha. =S

Christmas 2008.

My Christmas was rather normal this year, spent Christmas Eve with relatives and all at home. It came and went by rather fast for me, I think because I've been rushing around doing a million and one different things. My living room was painted a new shade of blue and grey, and the Christmas tree was out too! Hahaha my Christmas tree rotates! =D

Stationary. Okay the tree gets stuck when rotating sometimes for some strange reason. Bleh. I think it's due to the excessive decorations on the tree weighing it down. Haha.

My Christmas Present! From 'Santa'. Now you know where I get my lame genes from uh. =P

Haha I opened my present and found popcorn inside. I think it's cheese, caramel and butter. And I haven't finished it yet. =S

Went to Church on Christmas Morning. Sermon was okay, was about people that miss the whole point of Christmas which is to celebrate the birth of Christ. Exchanged Christmas cards with people too, haha. Gave people Christmas "3"s on my cards. =)

Had lunch at Sizzler's at Suntec City. And it was super expensive. =/ But it was nice la. Haha. Then went back home and I spent the rest of my Christmas sleeping at home. =D

Farewell Party.

Okay went home after the parade and photo-taking ended at around 12pm, then bathed, changed and went out for farewell party. =D

Had lunch at Long John Silver with Hao Xiang, Joshua and Wei Kit, and we saw a vampire!

Okay went home, bathed, changed and went out again! Hahaha. Although I was getting loads of stares from people on the way home cause my bag had no space to keep Lenson's D300 with 24-70mm f2.8 G lens, so I had to carry it on the MRT back. Blee. =\

Went to Lenson's house to return him his camera at around 9pm, then went to Plaza Singapura to meet up with the rest and catch a late night movie. =) Watched Twilight. Hahaha. The movie was okay, although I thought they were talking most of the time instead of biting people or running around and all that. I did read the book la, so I guess it stayed true to the book mostly.

Took a train back, alighted at Kovan and went for supper with Wei Kit, Joshua, Hao Xiang and Eguene. Then we walked all the way to Eugene's house because it was 1am+ already and there were no more buses. Haha. Was like, playing Halo 3 at his house and feeling very energetic when suddenly I had a headache and fell asleep at 3am. =S

Woke up on Christmas Eve at around 8am, then took a bus back home. =D

Room Light.

The light in my room has burnt out.

The light was all fine and dandy with no apparent sign of it's lifespan ending at first, then there were ominous flickers for a few seconds, before a short *fizz* sound. And everything around me became enveloped in darkness.

I guess it was about time, seeing as how the light in my room has been my unfailing companion throughout the past 4 or 5 years, always lighting up when I switch it on without complaints or delays, be it 3am in the Morning or 5pm in the Afternoon. It has always been a permanent fixture in my life, hanging at the ceiling of my room and watching over me.

Maybe it's a timely reminder of how I take many things in life for granted.

Or it's metaphoric with the darkness that I'm going through right now.

It could also be symbolic of the fragility of life, how we all have to fizzle out one day, and how death and darkness can come suddenly without warning.

However, it could just mean that it's time for me to change the light bulb! Thanks for wasting 5 minutes of your time! (Longer if you're a slow reader or spent time wondering if I was suicidal or depressed. Shorter if you just skipped to the end because you got lazy)

Oh yes, my room light did actually fizzle out yesterday. Hahaha. Replaced it with a nice new 3000K light bulb already. =P

Before Passing Out.

Ah I'm really lazy to go blog everything out so shall just summarize the past few days before POP.

Came back from Youth Camp on Friday. Then found on Saturday that I was arrowed to be flag-bearer for POP cause Chee Sheng was going to Thailand. -.- So went to school on Saturday to rehearse. Haha. Forgot like lots of things after not doing drills for 6months+. =S

Took pictures too! Heh. Because Chee Sheng can't make it for POP so we took pictures with him in Full U first hahaha.

Haha. Sec 3s were preparing for our POP so we asked Frankie to help us take pictures too.

Then went down to Beach Road with Hao Xiang and Wei Kit to buy badges. Saw this cat on the way back.

Hahaha. The cat was stoning there watching us walk past, stop, me taking out my camera, and only moved towards me after I took this picture. =D

Heh. Something stupid happened to Hao Xiang on the bus back at 4.30pm. =O

Kites outside my window. But had to crop extensively since I don't have a super telephoto. =(

Went to play basketball at around midnight with Hao Xiang at Punggol. Abit crazy la, it's like a weekly thing now. Haha. Reached home at around 1am, then woke up at 6am to go send Chee Sheng off at the airport!

Was like half-dead already but we dragged ourselves there okay. Then we went to the viewing mall at terminal 2 and lazed around. Ate Burger King for breakfast, then I went to my Church whilst Hao Xiang went to his. Hahaha. And my family didn't go to Church on that day because they were painting the house and thought I was still in my room sleeping! =S

Had Youth Camp debrief after service, then went back home. Fell asleep on the bus back. In fact, I've been falling asleep on every bus/mrt ride lately. Even when standing. =/

Monday was rehearsal for POP again, this time with the whole unit. Had to get used to the uncomfortable feeling of the flag pocket pouch thingy. Haha. Our school's pouches is like, made of clay unlike the softer cloth ones at NPAP which seems like a zillion years ago already.

Then went for lunch at some random place which I've forgotten, and went back home. Went to Lenson's house in the evening to take the Sunset! Haha. But the sunset wasn't really nice leh. =/

Ah wells. At least got lots of nice looking clouds. =D
