Eileen says I look like a primary school kid today. Which is through cos I didn't really wash my hair with shampoo and all in the morning. Just a quick rinse and soap. =/ Cos i was rushing to school to meet Sandy for her cheng yu book. But she was later than me. =P
Haha, first three periods were spent in agony watching people do their Chinese oral thing. In the end, there wasn't enough time was the last few to do. =\ not that I'm complaining. =)
Home Econs was spent in the computer lab. Hee, got to play games and all. And I realised I have a whole bunch of music in my gmail storage folders. Like, I vaugely remember uploading my music files into gmail using a firefox extension. But that was a long time ago. And the music still works!!HEH no visible data corruption or anything.
Science was also in the computer lab, people spamming all around. -.- The elearning portal should seriously have some spam control thing. A simple php timer would have solved it...haha, couldn't really concentrate much, and the assesment questions were super hard. Like:"Which of the following converts nitrogen into oxides." And they give mcq answers like:'De-nitrifying or rhaposdum or something." =S
The scariest thing happened to me today. Ok maybe not scary, but shocking. I received an email from myself. =) Thanks to futureme.org. I received an email from myself exactly one year ago. Extremely unexpected, and weirdly, just the right thing I needed. It fit in with what was happening to me now. All of it. I completely forgot about using futureme until I read that email, everything came back to me. It was 1 in the morning, the 4th year anniversary of the sept 11th attacks. I can't remember why I sent it, can't remember what I was feeling. But here's what it says.
Dear FutureMe, hello hello hello hello...It's a Wednesday night and you are at a church prayer meeting when somebody runs in from the parking lot and says,"Turn on a radio, turn on a radio."
And while the church listens to a little transistor radio with a microphone stuck up to it, the announcement is made: "Two women are lying in a Long Island hospital dying from the mystery flu."
Within hours it seems, this thing just sweeps across the country. People are working around the clock trying to find an antidote. Nothing is working. California, Oregon, Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts. It's as though it's just sweeping in from the borders.
And then, all of a sudden the news comes out. The code has been broken. A cure can be found. A vaccine can be made.
It's going to take the blood of somebody who hasn't been infected, and so, sure enough, all through the Midwest, through all those channels of emergency broadcasting, everyone is asked to do one simple thing: Go to your downtown hospital and have your blood type taken. That's all we ask of you.
When you hear the sirens go off in your neighborhood, please make your way quickly, quietly, and safely to the hospitals. Sure enough, when you and your family get down there late on that Friday night, there is a long line, and they've got nurses and doctors coming out and pricking fingers and taking blood and putting labels on it. Your wife and your kids are out there, and they take your blood type and they say,"Wait here in the parking lot and if we call your name, you can be dismissed and go home."
You stand around, scared, with your neighbors, wondering what in the world is going on and if this is the end of the world.
Suddenly a young man comes running out of the hospital screaming. He's yelling a name and waving a clipboard. What? He yells it again! And your son tugs on your jacket and says, "Daddy, that's me." Before you know it, they have grabbed your boy. Wait a minute. Hold on! And they say,"It's okay, his blood is clean. His blood is pure. We want to make sure he doesn't have the disease. We think he has got the right type."
Five tense minutes later, out come the doctors and nurses, crying and hugging one another -- some are even laughing.
It's the first time you have seen anybody laugh in a week, and an old doctor walks up to you and says, "Thank you, sir. Your son's blood type is perfect. It's clean, it is pure, and we can make the vaccine."
As the word begins to spread all across that parking lot full of folks, people are screaming and praying and laughing and crying. But then the gray-haired doctor pulls you and you wife aside and says, "May we see you for a moment? We didn't realize that the donor would be a minor and we need...we need you to sign a consent form."
You begin to sign and then you see that the number of pints of blood to be taken is empty. "H-how many pints?"
And that is when the old doctor's smile fades and he says, "We had no idea it would be a little child. We weren't prepared.
We need it all!"
"But-but...You don't understand."
"We are talking about the world here. Please sign. We-we need it all!"
"But can't you give him a transfusion?"
"If we had clean blood we would. Can you sign?"
"Would you sign?" In numb silence, you do. then they say, "Would you like to have a moment with him before we begin?"
Can you walk back? Can you walk back to that room where he sits on a table saying, "Daddy? Mommy? What's going on?"
Can you take his hands and say, "Son, your mommy and I love you, and we would never ever let anything happen to you that didn't just have to be. Do you understand that?"
And when that old doctor comes back in and says, "I'm sorry, we've--got to get started. People all over the world are dying." Can you leave?
Can you walk out while he is saying, "Dad? Mom? Dad? Why - why have you forsaken me?"
And then next week, when they have the ceremony to honor your son, and some folks sleep through it, and some folks don't even come because they go to the lake, and some folks come with a pretentious smile and just pretend to care.
Would you want to jump up and say, "MY SON DIED FOR YOU! DON'T YOU CARE?"
Is that what GOD wants to say? "MY SON DIED FOR YOU. DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I CARE?"
"Father, seeing it from your eyes breaks our hearts. Maybe now we can begin to comprehend the great Love you have for us." k that's all
No smiley...no full stop at the end(which is sort of like, habitual for me.)...But I can't remember how I must have felt then.
Still, it pretty much relates to what I'm going through now. Maybe I haven't been focusing on him lately, it seems so distant that he sent Jesus to die for us. Like, so historical. But if I could rewrite the story...it wouldn't have been so simple as anesthetic death. God died in one of the worst ways possible, caked in dried blood, strips of skeletal muscle hanging from his body. It's scary, yet scientifically proven.
I sent another email to myself on 1/1/2010. But i have no way to view what it says until the time comes. But by 2010 i'll probably be in a jc or poly.

5 Weird Facts About Me That You Should Know:
Video. (It's long.)
It's kinda convincing you know, but wow, kind of unexpected that someone would be suspicious of the very government that's helping them. I imagine the government is pissed. Haha.
I can finally barcode Bm and F and all that, if i concentrate hard enough and focus...hee. I'm gonna try picking next, I'm terrible at picking. =S
- I have never gotten sunburnt, only tanned really black, but never experienced sunburn before. =P
- I've about 10 different email accounts, ranging from gmail to lycos to terramail. Yep.
- I'm left-handed, my whole family is right-handed, don't know why really. I do a lot of things with my right hand and left hand.
- I have never been overseas except to Malaysia. =\
- I haven't been on an airplane before. =/

School holidays are almost over, and I'm finding weird ways to take breaks from studying. =P
Like messing around in gimp creating and experimenting with fxflares and gx lighting effects and all that. Hee.

And, I was so bored i decided to take photos of stuff around my room. Heh.
I don't think anyone will guess what this is...looks like some weird hologram right?

O if u didn't know, that's my classical guitar, kinda obvious. -.-
I still have it, from last june's media club camp. =P

O btw, I got a job, pretty much part time. But hey, payment is at least $100. Yesh, AT LEAST $100. Hehe, I won't tell u what I'm doing, but it doesn't involve anything illegal like drugs or alcohol.
It's something to do with computers. =P
But i somehow have to install lots of new software and get used to the interface. Yar, found lots of stock photos, very nice stock photos.

I don't feel tired at all. Strange...
Didn't go for np today. Bleh, celebrated mother's birthday instead. Yar, family's more important right?
Guitar practice. Wee, learned lots on barcoding and open chords. So now I'm playing the 4 barcode notes from Everyday by Hillsongs. An Australian band came for cell tonight. Stickpenny!(or was it shickpeni?Or shtickpenny?Either way, something like that lar) Quite nice really, change from usual worship songs and all.
Took 136 back after cell. *gasp* I've been taking 136 back from church for 3 times in a row. Actually, it's cause I'm lazy to change to mrt, and I usually run out of ez-link money on friday. So it's usually a long 1hour+ ride all the way home. Yar, it's a direct bus, only the bus stop is three bus stops away.
Reached home at 11.30pm. Eh, I wonder if any police will stop me in the future, cause there's a curfew thing. Ah well, my parents know about it anyway. =)
I'm hooked onto the smiley thing Sandy passed to me in msn.
You should see it in real time. One sec it faces on side, then the image inverts. So now I'm using it like every few minutes, haha.

Civil Defence course yesterday. Quite...interesting...lasted only around 5hours instead of 18hours as stated. It's like, the easiest badge ever!!Even easier than Sana. Wee, and we could play around with CO2 fire extinguishers and dry ice. Like, i never knew that CO2 fire extinguishers gave off dry ice. Or that there's a class D type of fire which involves flammable metals like titanium or magnesium. So yar, learned quite a bit.
We could go home after lunch. =D But I stayed back to play captain's ball. Weird, none of the girls from our squad stayed back, all of the boys did. But still, around 45mins of fun.
Yesterday was also Hao Xiang's birthday, and also my mother's. But thanks to np, I haven't given mum her present yet.(It's a floating bubble thingy I brought last tuesday.) O and I gave Hao Xiang his present.(A piece of high quality foolscrap paper which he didn't want.)
I see turtles everywhere now. Wait, was it roses or turtles? Kinda stupid of ppl to do that really. You think your "honouring" or "remembering" him? I don't think Steve Irwin would want millions of people to put turtles or roses in their msn nick as a "memorial". I think he'd rather people donate their free time to wildlife conservation? It's amazing how fast spam travels though.
Eeks.

Eh. I woke up at 8 this morning. I'm supposed to feel tired, but somehow I was energetic. Bleh.
Went for school at 8.30, and reached there at 9. Since no one was around, I decided to walk over to hougang mall to see if the shops were open. In the rain. And the shops weren't open. So I walked back. In the rain.
Yep, maybe I should have stayed in school doing something constructive instead of wasting 15 mins walking aimlessly here and there. Ah well.
Oral was horrible. I completely forgot what I wanted to say. Hee, I ended up talking about how other schools were having clowns in their classrooms and how the blind children's teacher wanted to treat them like equals and hence hired a clown. Ya, I think I'm not going to do well this time.
O yar, then Miss Chew asked what I wanted to work as in the future for the third part of the oral. I was like:"Er...". I thought it might be something like:"Would you want to be in the clown's position?" or something. =/

Stress is healthy.
Went to watch monster house yesterday with gerald and josiah. Wenjie didn't reply my msg, Weejin went fishing, Andre was with sec sch frens, and Kevin was somewhere in perth. =( Ah well.
Monster house is funny, but it is still a kids show. I think it's way too scary to be a kids show. But hey, that's my opinion. We walked around j8 for 2 and a half hours before the show. Saw quite a few ppl from my sch walking around for the yellow ribbon flag day.
Speaking of the yellow ribbon flag day, i completely forgot to go do it with my church. I remembered they advertised and my sis and i wanted to go. Haish.
Walked to Church with gerald. He actually agreed to walk three bus stops with me. Hee. But yea, he didn't go Church with me cos it was guitar practice and he would be aimlessly sitting down there watching me play. =(
Guitar practice! =) Finally a friday where I can make it. Got to use an electric guitar again, I kinda forgot how it felt like and how easy it was to barcode. But still, learned more on picking/plucking/whatever you call it. I'd want to make it again next friday but I dunno, I think i forgot the eagdbe thingy.
Cell was on the story of Samson. Interesting, but many people didn't come thanks to Ns, Os, and As. N level=Not so stress. O level=Ordinary stress. A level=Absolute stress. Heh.
Reached home at around 11:40. Started preparing my full u. Yep, took about 1hour, slept at 1.
Today, alarm woke me up at 7.30. But I was so tired i crashed back to bed. Woke up at 8.30 instead. Yep, I'm always late. =/
Can you imagine bringing your school bag and a guitar to school? Throw in NPCC full uniform and Boots. Heh, it wasn't that bad really.
POP itself was really hot. I mean literally, quite a few people not feeling well. But still, reminded me a lot of last year's parade, and since it is pretty much the last time we'll see most of them...
Concert went quite ok too. Although we did screw up for the last chorus. Yar, we screwed up. =) Still, it went quite smoothly. And yar, I won a mystery prize! 10mins free break during training. Hee, Nigel says it's like last term's history lesson where I had one hour free period. =P (Although i didn't use it.)
I met Chee Hock on the bus home!! How coincidental is that? (he calls it fate) Heh, unexpected though.
