Ling Tong's Birthday.

Okay erm, went to celebrate Ling Tong's birthday at her house last Saturday. =)

Actually there's a whole bunch of birthdays but I completely forgot about them. 28th was Crystal's birthday. She's really afraid of me for some really stupid reason, to the extent of getting off the train and waiting for the next one. =S 29th was Marie's birthday. Koon Tat and me are forever calling her 四梨. Haha. 30th was Ling Tong's birthday. =) Then 31st was Yun Kai's birthday. He still owes me my Santa hat in RuneScape. Haha.

Met up with Stephen first at SengKang MRT, wanted to try out Aston's at Cathay for lunch, but the place was super crowded so we went to Fisherman's Wharf at Clarke Quay instead.

We had some type of fish with chips at Fisherman's Wharf. Duh. Haha.

Added lots and lots of Malt Vinegar, and Tabasco sauce, and all the other random kinds of sauces la. =)

Haha, two guys walking around Clarke Quay. =S

Had lots and lots of time to kill whilst waiting, so we tried out ice cream at this Japanese Restaurant called Azabu Sabo. Yup, their website is here. Actually there's another reason besides killing time la. ;D

Stephen reading the menu. =O

Tried out this:
It was sort of like ice kachang! But okay la, it's more high class, and nicer also. =D

And this:This one was like largely ignored by us cause we were both busy attacking the ice kachang. But I like that yellow part, it tastes like mango ice cream, yet it's not really ice cream? Haha.

This was the cup sort of thing that holds more mango syrup thing. It looks kind of like a shot glass? Like those kind they serve vodka or liqour in. Haha. And the syrup contained bubbles! =D

Pouring syrup over ice kachang. Okay la, I think it has a more profound sounding name la; it's called a Soft Ice Cream with Mango and Milk.

After finishing the ice cream(s). =) Was really super full by the time we finished.

Went out and walked around Clarke Quay, there were lanterns being set up for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

It started raining, so we went back inside. Took elevators all the way to the top just to see where it would lead to...

It's a lift of some sort. =D

There wasn't really anything, except a deserted car park.

City skyline, but I had to shoot through a window. Haha. =\

Okay we went to collect Ling Tong's present, then took 147 to her house after that.

Ling Tong's present! There's actually another one but er, cannot post la. Heehee.

It's a rather nice box of cakes. From this shop. =)

Okay we went up, and saw a rainbow in the sky! Ah. Rather depressing because I got carried away taking pictures of the rainbow and forgot my shutter count was nearing 9999. So my 9999th picture is that of a rainbow.

And it doesn't look very nice either. Maybe after editing.

So, it's been about 3 Months since I got my D80 in June, and I've taken over 10000 pictures since then? =S Rather scary, but of course, most of the pictures I've taken were deleted because of bluriness, out of focus, wrong exposure or simply uninterestingness. But I've still taken a considerable amount of pictures I guess. =D

Okay anyways, went to Ling Tong's house. Pictures were mostly taken by Stephen, so credit goes to him.

I wonder why is it called Dragon fruit when it doesn't look like a dragon at all. I would call it Cookies and Cream. Hahaha. Like the ice cream flavour.

Pretending to be rich.

Spongebob Poker Cards. Haha. =D

Above picture taken by Nigel whom owns a Sony Alpha 100! Haha. =O

Hahaha. Looks rather abstract. =P

Okay we went down to Downtown East/E Hub after that to catch a movie.

It's an anthology of 4 short horror stories from Thailand. Missed the first story because we were late, but watched the second half of the second story though. O.O I thought the movie would have been better if it didn't use 3d Animation. Haha. Like, see halfway, then suddenly see the textures and rendering all look very familiar. Then some parts of the movie looked like something done in Cinema 4D. Although I think they used 3DS Max or something? But it's rather weird looking la. No Global Illumination, or advanced render, just really cartoonish looking models and textures? =\

Hahaha okay the movie itself was okay lah. Some parts were really funny. =D I think there are lots of scarier movies though. =)

Went to Burger King for a while after that, then took 3 home. =/

Cross Country 2008.

Yes, I know it's lame. =D

So Cross Country was last Friday. Don't know if Cross Country is still an accurate term or not, since it was also a Treasure Hunt and Teacher's Day Concert. Outing at Punggol Park maybe? Haha.

Did a search on my blog for past entries on previous Cross Countries, and I started remembering lots of stuff that happened last year. Haha. I can still remember Hao Xiang doing that Weeeeeuuuu a long long time ago. And us all rushing down to Home Team Academy by public transport and realising that transport was provided when we reached. And Yi Hong and me trying to tape the flag more securely. =D

Then there's stuff that only the few of us know like Milo Girl, and Burger Boy, and 1 dollar coin/Solar System, and a whole bunch of other things which would be unsuitable for blogging. ;)

Okay I sound like a Senior Citizen talking about the past. =) Anyways, this year's Cross Country was held at Punggol Park. Went there really early in the Morning to catch the Sunrise.

Unfortunately, there wasn't really a Sun to take pictures of. Just lots and lots of clouds. =\

Anyways, everyone lined up, then the photographers split into groups. Went off with Lenson and Ryan to go take pictures of the Cross-Country run around the perimeter of Punggol Park, whilst Ivan and Stephen stayed near the starting/finishing line.

Randomly snapped pictures whilst walking to a suitable location and waiting around for the run to start.

Serangoon River. =)

Changing lens whilst talking on the phone. =O I don't think I'd ever dare do something like that, sure drop either the lens or the phone one. Haha.

The stray dog that was supposedly chasing after me. I was stuck with Lenson's wide angle lens and the dog would run off whenever I tried to get close. =/

Okay, most of my other pictures are of the Cross Country already, got lots of unglam shots of people running. Especially from Stephen whom took like 300+ people of people reaching the finishing line? O.O

There was a Teacher's day performance after that. Then went back to school after everything to collect our Prelim results. My results are very depressing.

Went back home and went out to Vivo with Koon Tat, Denise, Fiona and Stephen to buy a present for Ling Tong. =) Had lunch at Subway. Then walked around Vivo. Went back home for a while, then met Stephen and Ivan at Punggol end. Most pictures were taken by Stephen, so I won't post them here. =D

No Sun. =/

Taken with the help of Ivan's tripod. =)

Taken by Stephen.

Didn't go for Cell because it was really late already. =S Met this guy with his family at Punggol end who's a Canon 450D user but didn't bring his camera. =O And I got lots of Mosquito bites too. =X

Took bus 82 to Hougang because Stephen needed to meet his junior to help him tie some necklace. =P Met Hui Qin and her friend on the bus.

Met his junior at MacDonald's. He kept asking me to tell him more and more jokes la. -.- And his reactions to the jokes were super laggy. =D

"Dinner" because Stephen had spaghetti at home and I wasn't hungry. =)

Went home after that.

That's Ivan's head sticking out at the bottom left, rather lazy to clone stamp him away. Haha. Picture was shot in Punggol Park last Friday, at the edge of the lake with my hand sticking out.

I can't get to sleep. =(

Emoh.

Sighs. I guess Minghui has been really emo lately.

Picture was taken on a really stormy and dark afternoon. Wanted to take pictures of the flashes of lightning that kept appearing, but the lightning simply refused to strike where my camera was aimed and I was so impatient so I gave up. Drew the words and smiley with a permanent black marker on my room window instead. =) Focus set to manual and the final image was desaturated/edited in Photoshop.

I remember you telling me the sky was dark like how I seemed so troubled. And I wish we could go back. =(

Fireworks Festival 2008.

Went out on Saturday to catch Fireworks at the Marina Bay floating platform. Official site for the festival celebration thing is here. =)

Met up with Koon Tat first, then Ivan and View Meng, then Stephen and Lenson, then Ryan, then met Alvin at Plaza Sing.

Went to Carl's Junior for an early dinner first. Then went walking around doing random things. Slacked for a while at Esplanade because it was raining. =D

Stephen the next top model. Haha.

Okay this picture looks rather scary. Taken by Stephen, and you can't really see anything because it's underexposed. -.- But after Photoshop=

It's a piece of Ryan's lens tissue btw. And Alvin's hand.

Obligatory Koon Tat shot. =D He can't use the computer so he won't see this! Haha.

Patapon! Hahaha. Tried really hard to beat the level on Ivan's PSP but it's impossible!

Credits to Stephen for taking the pictures. Because I'm the one playing, heehee.

Found a spot near the Esplanade, then set up our 4 tripods, haha. That Lenson go kop my space la. -.- Did lots of stupid things whilst waiting around. =D

City Skyline. Probably have a nicer picture, but I'm really lazy to go look through so I just chose this at random. =D

Haha. Then this really stupid thing happened like just before the fireworks.

Everyone was all standing around looking out for the fireworks to start when I whispered to the few of us standing in front with our cameras to look behind at some random tree and see who would look. Then just as we looked behind, the fireworks started. Hahaha. =/

Nice firework picture number 1.

Nice firework picture number 2.

Okay I'm really bored of posting nice firework pictures already. Do check out Lenson's or Ryan's blogs for much nicer looking pictures. Or flickr for super awesome ones.

I shall post the failed attempts instead! Hahaha.

Too many fireworks in the picture. =\

Too few fireworks in the picture. =/

Don't know how or why or when I took this, but I think it looks rather cool! Hahahaha.

Walked to Marina Square after it ended, then walked to Suntec and bought a drink at MacDonald's.

For View Meng, whom requires lots of Pins. Taken by Stephen. =)

Walked back to City Hall, then took a train back home.

New Headphones.

Okay I haven't blogged in a long time. I wish I could say I was busy studying, but er..haha.

Got back my prelim results a couple of days back. Really depressing, because I sort of did really badly in every single subject. Except, ironically, my Chinese O levels. =/ Like, not a single A for any subject at all. =(

Bought a new pair of headphones because my old one was really old already. As in, November 14th 2006? So I went to get a new pair at Bras Basah some Sunday ago. $47.90, but since I'm not the one paying. =P

Patrick checking out the sound quality. =)

Oh, and my pen broke. =( Was spinning it whilst walking down from the spiral staircase in school one fine day when the pen flew from my fingers down to the ground floor. Tip snapped off. Sighs, now I don't have anything to spin. =\

Okay, can't think of anything to blog about anymore. =D

Class T-Shirt Design.

Posting this here in case my external hard drive or laptop crashes when in school tomorrow. =D

Finally finished I guess. Haha. Okay time to sleep! =)
