National Day Celebration.

Friday was our school's National Day Celebrations. Woke up really early in the Morning at around 5am but I couldn't get to sleep, so I left my house really early too. Haha. It was raining very heavily the night before, so the Sunrise is sure to be nice, so I walked around waiting for the Sunrise. I was too lazy in the end and went to school though. =D

Okay the celebrations in school started with the Parade. I didn't participate in the parade when I was Sec 1 because I was in Tioman Malaysia with my family. =P Then as Sec 2, I was in the GOH Contingent. In Sec 3, I was in Supporting Cont. because SJAB were GOH. This year, I'm there taking pictures. =X Kind of sad that it's the last year I'll actually be seeing the school's NDP. And the parade itself was okay. =)

Preeelims.

Okay this whole week has been spent waking up for school every Morning, going to the school hall and doing whatever exam I'm supposed to do, doing something random after the exam, then either staying in school or going home first, then coming back to school for night study, going home to sleep, and the cycle repeats again. =D

Monday was Social Studies and Mathematics. =X Bleah. Both went rather horribly. Okay la, I wrote fairly a lot of Social Studies, but I don't know why I always do badly. Hahaha. And Maths is well, Maths. =(

Tuesday was Science Practical. Lots of bangs and whizzes and lots of people broke their test tubes and beakers. But not me cause I was super careful haha! I think I added something wrongly to something for Chemistry though. =S

Wednesday was Science Physics Paper 2. Haha, I thought it went okay considering that I failed really badly for my last Physics mock exam. =\

Today was Elective History and Mathematics Paper 2. Okay, I ended up writing the question that I didn't study for because I didn't know how to do the question I did study for. =X Mathematics was again rather inexplicable. Haha. Like, I knew how to answer all the questions, but I always do badly one when I get back the paper.


Okay enough about depressing papers! Haha! Erm, went to take pictures of the National Day Rehearsal in school on Wednesday. Gosh, did lots of stupid stuff in the hall with Ryan, Lenson and Alvin.

Oh and people have been telling me I've scored the highest in the level for the English Paper 1 Prelims Situational Writing? 24/30 marks or such. Apparently a Sec 3 teacher has been giving out copies of my situation writing to Sec 3 classes as a 'model piece'.

So people have been like : "Hey I read your speech thing!" when I can't even remember what I wrote cause I've not gotten back the paper yet. Sighs. I feel so infuriated that my work has been copied and distributed without my expressive consentment or even notification. Ah, okay never mind I'm just joking. =P At least people know that it's written by Minghui. Heehee.


Okay, that's how the past week has been. I feel really tired, but it's like I now have a super drug that makes me feel really energetic. =D

YP Sunday.

Woke up at 8.30am on Saturday morning and dragged myself out of bed. Went to Church again for dance/worship practice again. Haha. It's rather weird, Cheryl, Tammy and Me are liking dancing one moment, then practising the song the next. We're talented people la, hahaha.

We practised away the entire morning and afternoon. Then I was supposed to go Festival Of Praise with my family but I decided not to because I was rather tired, then I went home and slept rather early. =)


Woke up at 7.30 on Sunday, went to Church. Practised everything again then it was time to dance already. Okay, I think the dance went okay lar, haha. No obvious mistakes or anything. =P

The song we played went okay too! =D Although I hit the wrong bass strings for some plucking parts, but who can tell hahahaha. =P

Erm, message was about being Lost and Found. The story of the prodigal son. But I think that story has really lots of deeper meanings in it. =O

Went for lunch at Cafe Cartel with family, then went home. =)


Yea, that's my weekend. Didn't exactly do a lot of revision or studying. =X

English & Geography Prelims.

Okay, the preliminary examinations kicked off to an exuberant atmosphere of anticipation and excitement on Friday. Ah, who am I kidding. Bleah. Prelims! Horrible.

I'm still like lazing around not believing that I'm a Sec 4 student and that the end is near. =D

Anyways, it started with English Paper 1. I started with Section B on Situational Writing first because I didn't know what to write for the essay section. Then happily did the situational writing and wrote quite a lot.

Then when I went to the essay section, I still didn't know what to write! Okay, had this really nice storyline in my head for a narrative essay, but all my narrative essays take too long to write and I always end up scoring badly, so I wrote an argumentative essay instead. =D

Topic was "Women make better parents than men." Gosh, I agreed with the statement cause I have nothing good to argue for men, hahaha. I couldn't think of any points halfway through and ended up writing much less than I did for the situational writing. =X Then there was still half an hour left so I went to copy out my entire essay onto a new sheet of paper. =)

Geography was okay, although the 8 mark questions were all impossibly difficult. Couldn't really understand what the question was asking at all, so just wrote whatever came to mind. Haha.

Went to Compass Point for lunch with a bunch of people. Koon Tat and me spent a really really long time deciding on what to eat, then we ate chicken rice. =X

Erm, went home, used the computer for a while, then went to Church. =) Worship was great, then there was a movie being shown but I didn't watch it because I went to practice for dance! Haha. =\

Then there was pizza for supper after the movie, but I didn't get to eat because immediately after dance I went to practice the song! =( Hmph.

Okay took bus 13 to Potong Pasir then took a train back, and reached home at around 12.30am. =/

Preparing For Prelims.

Blah. I'm a long way behind in blogging again. This will be a really long post. =D

Anyways, my week was rather tiring. Okay every week is tiring la. In conclusion, Ming hui is tired. =X Okay, erm, Taiwan and Thailand Scouts came to our school on Tuesday! Stephen got to skip Maths lessons because he's a Scout la. =(

Oh, and they were at the canteen taking a break during our recess time when I saw this girl taking photos of herself with her camera phone! EEE. And like 3 times too! Hahaha. Then this guy seated next to her noticed me looking at her taking pictures of herself and started pointing to me and laughing, at which I looked away haha. Okay that wasn't really funny. =/

Ah, then this happened sometime in school on Monday.

Ivan(irritatedly): "Ming hui can you please explain to Yi Peng what is format?"
Me: "Oh okay! (Turns to Yi Peng) Format right, is the thing you put in your house, made of some absorbent or synthetic material and with the purpose of removing any dirt or soil from your shoes. It is placed on the floor, hence it is called a floormat."
Yi Peng: "No but what does format mean for computer?"
Me: "Oh, you see, you place a floormat under your computer, so you can remove any dirt or soil from the underside of your computer when it gets dirty."
Yi Peng: "Then what does it mean to reformat?"
Me: "That is the term used to describe the process of changing the floormat from below your computer, therefore it is called 'refloormat'."

Yi Peng: "Eh, serious la, what is format?"
Me: "Okay okay, format right, can also be a term used to address someone. For example, formike, forjoe, 'format'."
Ivan: "Then reformat how? Hahaha."
Me: "Ah, you know in email right, when you reply to someone, there is a 'Re:' So it is 'Re:Format' lor."

Okay, for those that don't get the joke. =/

Went to catch The Dark Knight with Koon Tat, Denise and Fiona on Tuesday at The Cathay. Okay, Stephen was supposed to come along too but he went off to Sentosa with the Thailand and Taiwan scouts.


Woah, I think the movie is really nice. Explores human emotion and what's right and wrong rather deeply. The acting was really good, the shots of Chicago where the movie was filmed was all very well done, and the script had a lot of twists and turns. And Koon Tat claims he saw Edison ChanChen. And I think Batman's voice is really really low. Hahaha.

The viral marketing for the movie was cool too. Whysoserious?

Then me and Koon Tat started breaking up with each other because of stupid reasons! Hahaha. Like: "Why you never call me darling? 我跟你BREAKKK!" Rather stupid la, then there was T' Amor also, which is Latin and Spanish for Love and is the name of some restaurant. Then for some reason we started calling it Tiam Hor and laughed stupidly again! Like: "Want to go where eat? I dunno leh, Tiam Hor?"

Reached Punggol and the Sun was setting. Then I asked Denise if she wanted to walk to the haunted house and she said yes? Haha. =O We're such adventurous daring people. Haha. But I think for the first time she was like walking much faster than me because I kept stopping to take pictures.


Sunset wasn't really that spectacular. =X And it got dark really really quickly too.

Went to Stephen's house after school on Wednesday to cook slow roasted tomatoes! Okay gosh it seems rather, weird, to be going to another guy's house to cook. Haha. But it was fun la. Eh, I didn't really cooking but took pictures of Stephen cooking. Haha, but I did help to drizzle honey. =P

Okay it looks rather unappetizing, but it's actually quite nice leh. It like, explodes in your mouth when you eat it. I think if Stephen cooked that for F&N he'll definitely get top marks for taste, but horrible marks for presentation. =)

Went to school for Night Study after that with Stephen, and met Malvin and Chun Wee on the bus, haha. Eh, I studied both topics in about 1 and 1/2 hour, and taught Malvin all the secret tricks on how to do well for Geography. ;) Hahaha.

Oh yes, showed the class our class t-shirt design on Thursday too. Brought laptop to school, but then realised that I forgot to bring my external hard drive with the designs in it. =X But thankfully Stephen emailed me the design so I could download it online. =)

Okay! That's about everything. As you can see from what has been written above, I haven't exactly been studying hard for Prelims. SIGHS. =X

Maybe it's lack of sleep, but I have like a constant headache every day now. And I'm rather depressed and irritated and confused and unsure about what to do. It's like my world has slowly turned upside down and I've not realised it up to now. I feel like I'm going to explode at any moment. Gah. Okay, I'm a walking time bomb, someone please defuse me. =D

Was about to go to sleep after returning from Malvina's birthday party when I found 3 light sticks in my bag. Haha. Then decided to play around and made a smiley face from the lightsticks, then I decided to take out my tripod and try taking long exposure shots with my camera.
