Perth Day 5.

Okay it's been like 3 months since I went to Perth but I have not blogged about the entire 6 days yet. Haha. I think no one wants to read it la, but you don't have to read it anyways. =P Do comment me on any stupid grammatical, constructional, or vocabulary errors. =)

Anyways, day 5 started with me and Lenson waking up at around 6am. No one else was awake. Haha. We went out and decided to walk around the perimeter of the hotel.

It's like, super cold la. And quite a lot of people were already walking about at 6:30am. Madness.

Went back to our room after that. Had breakfast which was fried rice in a container. Not exactly appetizing la. Then everyone was given 3 hours to go shop at this shopping mall which was full of warehouse shops. Like much cheaper than Singapore cause it's WAREHOUSE. Hahaha. Spent the first hour buying 2 shirts, Chee Sheng's birthday present(From PERTH), and just walking around aimlessly. Then we went to take photos again! Haha.

We walked to the shopping mall we went the other day. 'We' as in Lenson, Mr Yeo, View Meng and me.

Purple Tree!! Okay I'm being childish and immature on purpose.

Camp Firewood! Okay you need to be in NPCC to get the joke man! Haha so join NP! XD

We saw the wooden house from Day 4, but there were a bunch of children shouting into those red 'loudspeakers'. Haha! We should have stuff like this in Singapore instead of "Catch Barney LIVE!!!" or "Batman Showdown!" or something.

Poor pink plush toy.

We went to a shop that had this wall full of hat designs. Like I saw this Billabong hat which I bought in Singapore just 2 days before Perth selling at $10 cheaper. And there's so many more designs la. Heart pain. Blee.

Then we went back, boarded the bus, and went to this SciTech Discovery Centre.
Haha there was this heat scanner camera thing that detects your body heat. So we spent time admiring how hot we were. =P There's lots of other exhibits and hands-on experiments there. But I think Singapore's Science Centre is more diverse and has many of the exhibits already.

Didn't really take a lot of photos at the Centre cause I was just to busy playing with the things to do. Like there's this robotic thing that draws an image of you on paper. So just when it was about to take my picture for drawing a bunch of people came up and started covering my face and everything. The end result was something that doesn't look human. =\

Boarded the bus again, this time we went to Caversham Wildlife Park. Oh yes, on the way I had this can of Pepsi Max which I twisted into an Art Sculpture.
Haha, now I must insert some relatively profound perspective on the design and inspiration for this painstakingly crafted piece of 'art'.

Okay moving on, we saw some tame kangaroos and could actually pet them. Wee.

They ate like very slowly and lazily man. Probably cause it was in the Afternoon which is their sleeping time.

I didn't touch...no really! =\

Look at the bird's eyes, one moment perfectly fine, next moment...

Like ISSAC MENDEZ!!! (Okay if you don't get it, you should watch Heroes)

It looks so sad...

Yes we got to see and touch Koalas too!

After the visit to the Park, it was back to Perth's City Centre for dinner. The restaurant was like a 20 minutes walk away.

The ongoing construction to the left was for a Perth Arts Centre thing. The way they used the fence as a canvas was cool man.

Impossible is Nothing-Adidas.

Red Tree!! I'm being childish and immature again on purpose.

Haha, for those who didn't notice cars whizzing past them in the opposite direction.

Insert wisecrack about how PSP in the sign means Playstation Portable here.

We rarely see more than 1 train track here in Singapore at any given time, even if you count the MRTs.

They allow alpha-numeric license plates in Australia, so we saw cars with "H3AT" and such there.

Had our dinner at a Chinese Restaurant again. And we were seating right next to this steamboat buffet table with lots and lots of nice edible things. But we weren't eating buffet. Awws.

Went back to our room, Lenson took pictures of Wan's scale-model planes and helicopters, and View Meng treated us to Mushroom soup and hot chocolate which is super nice! =D

And that ends Day 5.

School Again.

Okay, haven't blogged lately cause there's just to many things to do. Blah. School's reopened again. And I feel so lethargic and lazy to blog about every single day. So I'll just post the significant stuff.

First day of school. So we have a new classroom up at the 4th level, new teachers, but same classmates. Woah, spending the past few days back in school listening to teachers teach and adjusting back to school life again.

Went to collect my IC too. Like my picture looks so...weird. Like my skin from neck down is black but my forehead is white? Dam weird la, I feel like a photoshop gradient or something. =/ And speaking of which I haven't had time to install photoshop yet.

Sec 1 CCA Orientation on Friday. Did our like Open House Parade thing showcasing total defense and the cooperation between the uniformed groups. I don't think forming a barricade showcases NPCC as a uniformed group la, but everyone is bound to feel unfair in these kinds of situations.

Wah, had to give like those speeches introducing NPCC to the sec 1's, like so stress la, making up everything as I said it. -.-

NP ended at around 6, then went for dinner with np people, then went for cell.

Met up with Denise and Hao Xiang on Saturday to go find Woei Jiun's present. We went from Dhoby Ghaut to City Hall to Bishan searching for a Mcfly cd for Woei Jiun. We only found the "Greatest Hits One" which costs $46 at HMV. =/ In the end we bought a Sylvester soft toy from Mini Toons.

Took bus 13 from Bishan to Potong Pasir where we changed to MRT cause the bus takes a long time. =D Ate steamboat at Boon Keng.

Haha quite okay la, we like spam lots of meat and no one really paid attention to the soup. =D Ate until super full. Then they started making scrambled eggs and French toast. Haha dam weird la, everyone around us all barbecuing whilst we are making French toast.

Went home at around 10:30, then I took LRT with Denise and went with her to buy a newspaper. Haha. Then I walked home. Reached home at close to midnight? =P

Went for worship practice on Sunday. Wee. Haven't exactly practiced From The Inside Out. But I memorized how to play the song already. Playing the intro and solo parts on electric guitar is different. Easier to press, but harder to maintain cause the tension is less that that of an acoustic? So all my notes like off key one. =\

Went to Chinatown OG after that to find New Year clothes. Like gosh, I had a killer headache cause of the bus ride and still must search for clothes. Bought a Billabong shirt but didn't buy any jeans. Then ate dinner and went home.

Watched The Noose. Hahaha super funny. I recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their English, seriously. Especially for oral examinations. =D

School on Monday. Blah. School is so boring I shall only blog about the interesting things that happened. Like how we were at the canteen and Xue Ee asked me to reserve a table for her. Then I agreed and went to sit at a table all by myself emo-ing away whilst she went to buy food. Then went she came back she decided to go sit with Li Ling and Wan Ting so I reserved the table for nothing. Wasted 10 minutes of my life can? Haha but I got a sweet in the end so it's not that bad. =P

Okay what else happened? A Maths exam! Which I didn't exactly study much. So I don't really know about the outcome. I don't really seem to be thinking much about it though. =X

O yes I fell asleep during Physics lesson on Tuesday. I seem so proud about it haha! But I think it's cause the combination of being tired and the er...interesting lesson. But super cool can, I lapsed into some semi-conscious state where I could hear everything going on around me but I was also dreaming at the same time. =D

And I learned how to do infinity! Haha awesome! Thanks to Stephen and Jun Han. Now we're like the pen freaks in class cause we're always spinning pens. Even during recess. But it's fun okay, there's something satisfying about balancing and controlling the velocity of the pen so that it continues it's rotation in an "infinite" loop. Hence the name infinity. (I'm talking about a pen trick btw.)

Oh yes, more random stupid stuff. I'm now the English representative in class? Gah. Like now I have to collect money and collect worksheets and books and whatever. Horrible. I have no experience in collecting money okay. Do I look like the kind of person you can trust with your money? Of course not! But our new English teacher's quite fun la, like she can "自 High" one.

Okay I think I can't remember everything that happened la. But this past few days have been super fast? Like everyday is just whizzing past. Sighs.

And I haven't set my New Year resolution yet! Gah! My New Year Resolution is: 1920 X 1200. From my laptop. (You can leave your "Minghui super lame!" comments at the tagboard.)

Perth Day 4.

Day 4. Woke up at around 6am feeling super super cold? The Sun was already up but everyone was still asleep. Went for a walk with Mr Yeo, Mr Koh, Lenson and Nick Chew.

Birds?

We walked over a couple of hills seeing if we could see the landscape entirely, but we only saw more hills. =/

Crossed over a small stream in between rocks.

Yup, after our walk was breakfast.

Butter and Jam! No la, we had a breakfast consisting of bacon, sausages, toast and beans.

We went to an Ice Cream Factory after that. Yay free ice cream! The ice cream was quite nice, and we met a Singaporean family there that lives in Kovan. The tour itself was quite okay, but I think we have ice cream factories in Singapore too? All the techniques are pretty self-explanatory in my opinion.

Boarded the bus again and we drove up to the City of Rockingham. Minghui has such awesome memory. =D

That's a picture of a dustbin btw.

Had our lunch there which was pizza, pizza and pizza. At first we thought there would be very few pizzas to eat, but they served us about 7 or 8 pizzas per table of 14? Ate until super full la. =/

Boarded the bus again towards Perth. Along the way we stopped at a beach.

The beach is like, super windy and cold even though it's sunny. Haha and I met this guy who gave me a seashell as a souvenir.

The guy is swimming in ocean. =D

Boarded the bus again, was quite a long drive. =/

Finally reached Perth at around 2pm?

Everyone was given an hour and half of free time to go shopping. But I spent this time to go exploring the city with Lenson and Mr Yeo instead.

Saw quite a number of Christmas decorations, but I don't think can compare to Orchard Road? =D

This was one of those 4 way junctions where everyone just waits for the green man.

When the green man comes on, you can just walk diagonally, straight, sideways, haha.

We walked past a bus interchange, a subway station, numerous buildings, quite a few skyscrapers although many buildings are just 1 or 2 storeys high.

They have an Esplanade in Perth too. =)

Zebra crossing.

The traffic light buttons are the same as Singapore's. =D

We walked until we reached The Esplanade, where we could see the other half of Perth on the other side.

This building was an Arts center of some sort. At the end of Barracks street la, I forgot what it is really. =/

Sundial, so it was around 4:20 when this picture was taken.

The sky was really clear and blue with not a single cloud in sight? And it was cold even though it was bright and sunny.

So romantic!!! Aaaaa!

OHNOE!!

Imagine riding a Segway to work everyday. Haha fun!

There were various public toilets which look super high tech. Haha, like you have to press a button to open the door. =D

There were water coolers too. Singapore should have public water coolers man. Although I imagine there would be a super long queue. =)

The ticket sign has high value photographically. Heh.

We were like the last to return from "shopping". Went for dinner at a Chinese restaurant.

Chinese food! Actually there was more food la, but I didn't take any photographs. =P

Kikkoman Soy Sauce! http://youtube.com/watch?v=_HckRLrBXQM-Mentally disturbing. XD

Went back to our apartment motel room thing after that. Then was nothing much la, except Lenson and me went online at around 10pm Singapore time. Then we went to sleep.

First Day Of The Year.

Okay I have a horrible headache now for some unknown reason to me, so I think there'll be lots of errors in this post.

Went for watch night service last year. Which was New Year's Eve la. Helped out with the barbecue, haha last barbecue of the year! =D

Then they screened Chronicles of Narnia, but since I already watched the movie 365 days ago, I flitted in and out eating Otah and trying to see how much carbonization a chicken wing can sustain.

Then was watch night service. Worship was great. =)

Then I stayed overnight with the youth. Played Dai Di until around 2am, then played guitar with Ming Ren and Justin until 5am, then went to KAP for breakfast.

Took 136 home from Church so now I'm blogging. =)

I guess I'm usually kind of reflective this time of the year, haven't exactly been in the best of moods and such. Maybe it's because of what has happened the past few years at around this time? 2007 to me has passed by so fast. Too fast.

I realise that, I don't want to sit for O levels, I don't want to grow up and be mature and sensible and whatever. I don't know what I want to do in life. I don't know if I want to face up to whatever lies ahead. I simply don't know.

It's been a year since I last talked to you.
